The Look PIVOT 2.0 18 GW B95 is the top of the Pivot lineup — a DIN 8–18 freeride-performance binding built around the same turntable heel design that has made the Pivot a cult fixture in steep and deep skiing for over two decades. That turntable heel is the binding's defining feature: instead of a standard pivot point, the heel piece rotates directly under your tibia, giving you 28mm of elastic travel at the heel and 45mm at the toe. In plain terms, that means the binding absorbs shock and deflects without releasing — so when you stomp a landing, catch a buried edge, or take a hard bump hit, the binding loads and rebounds rather than firing you out of your skis. The 2.0 update brings a Posi-Drive adjustment screw on the heel (replacing the old flat-head, which was a frustration for field adjustments), widened turntable arms for cleaner GripWalk boot engagement, rubber bumpers on the heel tower to protect the finish from ski edges and pole tips, and a new 105mm brake option added to the lineup. The B95 in this SKU tells you the brake is 95mm wide — best matched to skis with a waist between 85mm and 100mm. Boot compatibility covers both Alpine ISO 5355 and GripWalk ISO 23223 A soles; it does not accept touring (WTR/GrandAlpin) soles, so it is not an AT crossover option. This binding is built for heavier, more aggressive, or expert-level skiers whose DIN setting genuinely falls in the 8–18 range. If you are a lighter skier, a newer skier, or someone whose certified DIN falls below 8, this is the wrong binding — a DIN minimum of 8 means it may not release when it should in a real fall, and that is a serious safety concern.
