Head Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Freeski Bindings

The Tyrolia Attack 14 GW is an all-mountain freeski binding with a 4-14 adjustment range, a stand height of 17 mm, and GripWalk compatibility. It comes in seven colorways — sand, solid black, matte white, green, red, gray and pink.

The toe is Tyrolia's FR PRO 3, with an anti-friction device that adjusts in height to the boot sole. That adjustment is technician work: per Tyrolia's own instructions, the AFD height is set to the boot sole and verified with the boot height adjustment tester. The heel is the three-piece NX FR, which Tyrolia credits with high stability and easy entry and exit, and its release-value window can be adjusted with the heel open or closed. The official weight is 1025 g per binding; Tyrolia does not say whether that figure includes the brake.

Boot compatibility is published as adult alpine ski boots (ISO 5355 Type A) and adult walk ski boots (ISO 23223 Type A). Junior soles and ISO 9523 alpine-touring soles are not on Tyrolia's list for this binding. Terrain-wise, Tyrolia files its Attack bindings under freestyle and all-mountain use — built, in its words, to handle everything from powder and groomed runs to park tricks — and tags this model Expert in its own skill-level attribute, while the adjustment range itself starts at 4.

PTO sells the Attack 14 GW without a brake in the box. The matching brake — Brake Type [A] in Tyrolia's catalog — is a separate part in six widths from 17-85 to 150 mm, so the brake is chosen to clear your ski's waist instead of whatever a boxed set happens to contain; as HEAD's pricing policy requires, our advertised price includes the brake. Tyrolia requires mounting, adjustment and service by an authorized retailer or technician, and release values are set at the shop by a certified technician — PTO never publishes suggested settings.
