Description
The Attack 14 GW is Tyrolia's flagship all-mountain freeski binding, redesigned for 25/26 with the FR PRO3 toe and NX FR heel. The toe gives you 30mm of lateral elastic travel, so the binding can soak up the sustained edge pressure and off-axis hits you generate in variable snow and park landings without letting go when it shouldn't. The NX FR heel adds 16mm of elastic travel to keep you locked in through rough chop while still releasing when a real fall happens. DIN runs 4 to 14, which covers solid intermediates up through hard-charging experts, and the low 17mm stand height keeps you close to the ski for direct edge-to-edge feel. Boot compatibility is GripWalk (ISO 23223 Type A) and standard Alpine (ISO 5355 Type A) — the AFD adjusts to take up the sole-height difference between the two norms. It does not accept touring or tech (MNC/multinorm) soles. Comes in B85, B95, and B110 brakes; match the brake to your ski, equal to or just slightly wider than the waist.
This is built for intermediate-to-expert skiers who want real retention across piste, powder, and park without the bulk and cost of a race binding. One honest caveat on the low end: that DIN 4 floor is too high for true beginners. If you are a lighter recreational skier, a beginner, or anyone who should be running settings below 5, this binding may not release for you the way it should in a fall — look at the Attack LYT 11 GW (DIN 3-11, ~905g per binding), whose lower floor is the safer fit. On the high end, if you are big, fast, or aggressive enough to consistently set DIN above 12, you are too close to this binding's ceiling and should step up to the Attack 17 GW (DIN 6-17). And one firm limit: this is a resort-only alpine binding. No walk mode, no touring or tech sole compatibility — it is not part of any backcountry setup.

Tyrolia publishes no elasticity figures for it, so the read here stops at what Tyrolia states. The brake is a separate [A]-code part — we match its width to your ski at the shop rather than to whatever was in the box.

- Tyrolia is HEAD's binding brand — the Attack line is its freeski/freeride offering. We do not have anything published about where or how the two are manufactured, so we will not claim they share a factory or a bench.
- What brake width do I need?
- Tyrolia makes the [A]-code brake in 17-85, 95, 110, 120, 130 and 150 mm, and the same brake fits across its Attack family. The width has to clear your ski at the waist without hanging out far enough to catch — send us the ski and waist width and we will fit it for you. Tyrolia requires an authorized retailer or technician to mount and set the release value; this is not a home job.
