Frequently Asked Questions

Orders are normally processed within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays). Transit time depends on the shipping method you choose. The methods available for your address, with any estimate the carrier gives, are shown at checkout.

Yes! We ship worldwide via UPS. International shipping rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your destination. Please note that duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the order total.

We offer free standard shipping on orders of $100 or more to the contiguous US (lower 48 and DC) — oversized items like skis and snowboards included. Below that threshold — and on all international orders, and to Alaska, Hawaii and US territories — shipping is calculated at checkout based on package weight and destination.

No — we don't ship orders to PO Boxes, so an order needs a street address. You can collect it from us in Beaverton instead: choose Store Pickup at checkout, or get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Returns: 15 days for a refund and 30 days for store credit, plus a 7-day shipping allowance on both, for unused items in original packaging with all tags attached. We count from the day we create the shipping label for the last parcel on your order — for most orders, the day it goes out — so the deadlines are 22 days from the label for a refund and 37 days for store credit. Store-pickup orders: 15 days for a refund and 30 days for store credit, counted from the day you pick up the order, with no shipping allowance. Orders placed before September 22, 2026 (Pacific time) are measured from the order date instead. Items returned 23–37 days from the label are eligible for store credit only. After 37 days, returns are not accepted. Items discounted 30% or more are marked Final Sale and are non-returnable, except for manufacturer defects, shipping errors, or damage in transit. Boots returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee.

Start it yourself: signed in to an account with a verified email, the order card in your order history carries a Return items button once the order has shipped or been picked up. Ordered as a guest? Use the Request a return link in the email we send when your order ships. You can also contact us at [email protected] or use the contact form on our site. Once your return is approved, we will email you the return shipping address and instructions. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of receiving the returned item. It may take an additional 3–5 days for the credit to appear on your statement.

Some product pages include the manufacturer's size chart. For general sizing, see the Size Chart Guide in our Learn section. As a general rule, skis should fall between your chin and the top of your head, and snowboards should reach between your chin and nose. Ability level, terrain preference, and weight also matter — call or email us for personalized advice.

Ski and snowboard boots can vary by brand. We recommend the brand's size chart where the product page has one, or our Boot Fitting Guide in the Learn section. When in between sizes, most riders prefer a snugger fit since liners pack out over time.

Orders can be modified or cancelled within 1 hour of placement. After that, the order may already be in fulfillment. Contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate.

Yes. Find the same item (same model, color and size) in stock and cheaper at an authorized US retailer and we will match it — the difference comes back to you as store credit. Price match requests are accepted for 15 days, plus a 7-day shipping allowance, counted from your order date — 22 days in all. You can ask for it yourself: signed in, the order card in your order history carries a Price match button. Ordered as a guest? Use the price match link in your order confirmation email, or contact us and we will do it for you.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. We can't take American Express.

On gear you buy, yes — in store and online. Every $1 you spend on gear earns 1 point, sale and clearance included, and 20 points turn into $1 of store credit — 5% back. Rentals and lessons don't earn points, but that credit pays for them too. What you pay with store credit doesn't earn points either. Points unlock 20 days after you order. Creating an account also gets you a 5% code, and another 5% code arrives once your first order goes through. One percentage code per order; a discount you make from points stacks on top of it. We welcome children as young as 3 years old! Our Tiny Slider program is designed specifically for ages 3–5, with play-based instruction on a slow-speed slope. Snowboarding starts at age 5.

No experience needed. Many of our students are trying skiing or snowboarding for the first time, and teaching beginners is a main part of what we do. You're welcome to start from the basics with us. Our indoor environment is the ideal place to learn — no chairlifts, no cold, no crowds.

Wear comfortable athletic clothing you can move in — think gym clothes. Long pants (no jeans or shorts), a long-sleeve shirt or light jacket, and long socks. Our facility is climate-controlled, so no heavy winter gear needed.

No! We provide all equipment: skis, snowboard, boots, and helmets. Everything is included in your lesson price.

Most lessons include 55 minutes of instruction. We also offer 30-minute lessons for younger children. We recommend 55 minutes for ages 6 and up. A child with less stamina can choose 30 minutes. Arrive 10–15 minutes early for equipment fitting.

Private lessons are our first recommendation for all ages, starting at age 3 for skiing and age 5 for snowboarding. They offer our most efficient learning and highest-quality instruction. Private lessons are tailored to your rider or private group; pricing starts with one rider, and eligible sessions allow additional riders for an added fee. With 2–3 riders, those at similar levels ride together; riders at different levels take turns. The coach adjusts during the lesson to maintain the quality of instruction. You can choose your preferred coach when booking a private lesson. Multi-week programs are group classes on a fixed schedule.

Camps run when a group forms: once five kids sign up for a date, we schedule the camp and email everyone who asked for it. Structured ski/snowboard training, games, and activities. All equipment included.

We're in Beaverton, Oregon: 5639 SW Arctic Dr, Beaverton, OR 97005. About 15–20 minutes from downtown Portland or Hillsboro, just off Highway 217 near Washington Square Mall.

We have seasonal hours. Winter (Sep–Mar): Mon–Fri 1:00 pm–8:30 pm, Sat–Sun 9:00 am–7:30 pm. Spring (Apr–mid-Jun): Mon–Fri 1:00 pm–7:30 pm, Sat–Sun 9:00 am–6:00 pm. Summer (mid-Jun–mid-Sep): Mon–Fri 8:30 am–4:00 pm, Sat–Sun Closed.

Yes! Our indoor facility is climate-controlled at a comfortable temperature year-round. No freezing, no sweating — just comfortable learning conditions.

Parents don't need to stay. You can leave your child at the shop, and the coach stays with them throughout the lesson. You're also welcome to watch from the observation area and take photos and videos.

Absolutely. Our facility is a controlled, instructor-monitored environment designed for safe learning. The revolving slope moves at adjustable speeds the coach sets for each rider, there are no trees to collide with, and a coach watches every rider the whole lesson. Helmets are required and provided.

The coach can slow the slope right down while your child gets comfortable, and builds confidence step by step. If your child is too scared or upset to continue, we'll add the unfinished lesson time to their next lesson.

Yes, helmets are required for all lessons and are provided by us at no extra charge.

You can book online through our website or call us at (971) 263-2916. We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance.

There are no height or shoe-size restrictions. We have lesson boots in all sizes.

If there is no lesson scheduled immediately after yours, we'll do our best to give you the full lesson time when you arrive late.

If a power outage, heavy snow or an issue at the shop stops lessons, we'll contact everyone affected to arrange a new time.

You can join after a class starts while fewer than half its sessions have been held, and pay only for the sessions remaining. Join by session 2 of a 4-session class or session 4 of an 8-session class. Once half the sessions have been held, enrollment is closed; join the next round.

Multi-week group classes are paid in full for the whole course; individual sessions aren't sold separately.

Let us know in advance if you'll miss a multi-week class. Your course extends by one week, with the missed session made up at the end of the course.

Full refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance. Within 24 hours, the lesson can't be refunded, but you can call us at (971) 263-2916 to reschedule it. No-shows are non-refundable. Multi-week program registrations are non-refundable once the first session begins. Packages sold as non-refundable, such as Kid & Parents, are not refunded.

Yes! Gift certificates make perfect gifts for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Lesson gift certificates come as PTO Lessons Credit ($200, $500 or $1,000) or as a single Private or Family Experience class — see our Gift Certificates page. PTO gift cards are a separate product: any amount from $5 to $500 online, good for lessons as well as gear.
