Union Source Pro Snowboard Bindings 26/27

The 26/27 Union Source Pro is the freestyle-weighted middle model in Union’s Direct Connect family. Union marks the flex at 7/10. Its own scorecard leads with Performance 10; Freestyle and Freeride are 9, while All-Mountain is 8. Those are Union ratings, not PTO test scores, but the split between flex and terrain is useful: strong response without the Source FC’s flex-8 ceiling.

A forged-carbon core reinforces the S10 Halo Duraflex CB baseplate, and another forged-carbon element forms the footbed. The S18 Source TH highback uses Duraflex Blue. Supportive ankle and Forcegrip toe straps provide separate pressure adjustment. Published pair weight is 1.40 kg.

With Direct Connect, 4x2 hardware fastens through the baseplate itself; there is no separate mounting disk. No compatibility is published beyond 4x2, excluding Channel, 4x4-only and Burton 3D boards. The size run stops at two options. On the unisex chart, US Men’s 8–10 goes to M and 10.5–13 goes to L. Choose by boot, never rider weight.

The Pro designation should not hide the basic fit logic. It remains a narrow direct-mount binding first; its materials and scorecard matter only after the board and boot pass.

Choose Source Pro for advanced riders who want a light, responsive Direct Connect binding with high freestyle and freeride scores. Step up to Source FC for lower mass and a stiffer forged-carbon package; step down to Source for flex 6 and a lower price. Skip the Source Pro if the board is not 4x2, the boot is outside M/L, or value and forgiveness matter more than the LAB construction. PTO can verify both hard fit gates before mounting.
