The Union Neo is a unisex all-mountain snowboard binding for 26/27, a mid-stiff, freeride-leaning model built for riders who drive the board hard across big-mountain terrain. Union's own ratings put it at 9/10 for all-mountain and freeride and 8/10 for freestyle, with a flex of 6/10 on the brand's scale — damp and responsive rather than soft and playful.
That feel comes from the build. A three-piece Duraflex baseplate is tuned to free up torsional flex and board feel while keeping drive, a dual-density bushing damps impact and chatter, and a multi-component highback with a cushioned, hinge-connected ankle strap holds the boot in place. The Neo rides a compact Mini Disk that leaves more board free to bend underfoot, and stays light for the class at 1.78 kg per pair.
Reach for the Neo if you ride all-mountain to freeride lines and prefer response to a surfy, forgiving feel. Look elsewhere if you live in the park or want the softest ride — the Falcor is Union's dedicated freeride option, and the stiffer Atlas Pro steps up the outright drive. Tell us how you actually ride and we will steer you to the right one.
Two practical notes before you order. On mounting, the compact Mini Disk mounts on 2x4 and Burton Channel decks, but it does not reach a 4x4-only pattern or Burton's older 3D layout, so confirm what your board is drilled for. On size, pick by boot rather than body weight; the Neo ships in three sizes, S, M and L, though Union does not publish a per-size boot range in the 26/27 catalog. A binding ships on its own, so we will mount it to your deck and dial in your size and stance in the shop.
