The Rossignol Vizion 4B Pro 120 MV GW is a 120-flex, 100mm last overlap boot built around one genuine engineering trick: the Step-In system, which uses an articulated spoiler and steel spine mechanism to let the upper cuff recline so you can slide your foot straight down into the boot. Once in, you flip the double buckle into position, the spine locks the cuff, and you're in a fully traditional overlap shell — four micro-adjust aluminum buckles, 40mm power strap, no compromises in the locked-in feel. The True Form Step-In Liner is heat-moldable, so it can be custom-shaped to your foot here at the shop, which matters in a boot this stiff — a properly fitted 120-flex liner reduces break-in time and eliminates the pressure points that turn good skiers against otherwise correct boots. GripWalk soles are pre-mounted, so the rockered rubber toe works on cobblestones and lodge floors without a sole swap. There is no ski-touring or walk-mode mechanism; the cuff articulation is for entry and exit, not skinning.

This boot is aimed at solid advanced skiers — people who are charging groomed runs hard, making deliberate carved turns, and generating real edge pressure. A 120 flex requires a strong, aggressive skier to flex it at all; if you're an intermediate who skis a few weeks a year, this boot will ski you rather than the other way around, and you'll end the day exhausted and sore. The 100mm MV last fits an average foot — not wide, not narrow. If your foot measures 102mm or more across the ball, you need the Vizion 4B Pro 120 HV GW, which opens to a 102mm last; if your foot is narrow or low-volume, the extra width here will leave your heel lifting and your control suffering. The Step-In mechanism is genuinely useful if you have a stiff ankle, limited mobility, or just hate wrestling your foot into a tight liner every morning — but if entry difficulty isn't your problem, you're paying for a feature you won't use.
