Two BOA dials replace the traditional four-buckle stack and work as two zones — the lower dial tightens around the heel pocket and instep, the upper dial wraps the cuff and calf, and both micro-adjust on the chair or mid-run with one hand. That zonal setup lets you get heel hold without over-squeezing the instep, which is genuinely useful on a 101mm medium-volume last that already runs on the snugger side. The bi-injected PU shell carries pre-shaped fit zones around the instep, ankle, and toes — so there's real shell geometry doing fit work before you ever consider punching.
