The Rossignol Speed 100 HV+ is a men's on-piste alpine boot built on a wide 104mm high-volume last, with a flex rating of 100.
Everything about it is aimed at a wide, high-volume foot. Rossignol's Relaxed Fit shape opens up the forefoot, the toe box, and the ankle, so if you have a broad foot, a high instep, or thick ankles, this is the shape that finally leaves room. The flip side is the same fact: a narrow or low-volume foot will swim in it, and heel hold and precision suffer. The last is the whole story here — it is the reason to buy the boot and the reason to skip it.
The shell and cuff are polyolefin, a lighter, softer plastic than a race shell, and the flex lives inside that comfort-first build rather than a stiff performance one. Power still reaches the ski, but the priority is all-day comfort, not race-course precision. For the money the fitting kit is generous: a thermo-moldable full-custom liner, canting to align the cuff, a rear-spine flex adjustment, four micro-adjustable aluminum buckles, and a 40mm power strap — a lot of fitting kit at $499.95. An easy-entry instep makes it simpler to get in and out.
Two honest notes. There is no walk mode here, so hiking and touring are out. And it does not ship with a GripWalk sole — that is an optional part Rossignol sells separately — so a technician checks the factory sole against your binding before you clip in.

The Speed 100 HV+ suits an intermediate to advanced skier who spends the day on groomers and has a wide or high-volume foot. The adjustable flex is the useful part: you can start it softer while you build up, and firm it up as you start driving the ski harder — without buying a second boot.
A narrow-footed skier will not get a secure hold in a 104 mm last and should look at a 98 or 100 mm boot instead. This is also not a freeride or touring boot — there is no walk mode.
Ski boots are sized in Mondopoint — the length of your foot in centimetres, not your street shoe size. Rossignol builds this boot in half sizes only; we stock 26.5 through 31.5. The 104 mm figure is the width across the ball of the foot at a reference size, and it is the widest last Rossignol offers.
What does HV mean on the Rossignol Speed 100 HV+?
High Volume. It refers to the 104 mm last — a wider forefoot, toe box and ankle area than Rossignol's 98 or 100 mm boots. It is the roomiest fit they make.
How does the adjustable flex work?
There is an adjustment on the rear spine of the boot. Changing it widens the flex range, letting the boot ride softer or stiffer. It means one shell can suit a skier who is still progressing and the same skier a season later.
Does the Speed 100 HV+ come with GripWalk soles?
No. The boot is GripWalk compatible, but the GripWalk soles are sold separately. It ships with alpine soles.
Can I use this boot for touring?
No. There is no walk mode. It is an alpine on-piste boot.

If you have struggled to find a boot that does not pinch a broad forefoot, a high instep, or a thick ankle, this is the shape to try.
Flex 100 sounds like an intermediate-to-advanced number, but read it in context. This is a comfort shell, not a race shell — the flex here moves enough power to the ski for on-piste and groomer skiing without the stiffness that would punish a relaxed skier over a long day. One thing to know up front: Rossignol's own website currently misprints the flex as 85. The Speed 100 name, the catalog, and third-party retailers put it at 100, so treat the 85 you may see online as a data error, not the real number.
What earns its keep at this price is the fitting kit.
