The Hawx Prime 110 S BOA GW is Atomic's all-mountain workhorse for the skier who wants a dialed, responsive fit without wrestling a full four-buckle setup every morning. The shell is a two-piece overlap design — no walk mode, straight alpine power transfer — built around a 100mm medium-volume last that suits a true average foot: not narrow, not wide, with a normal instep height. In place of the two lower buckles you get a BOA H+i1 dial that micro-adjusts in fine, click-by-click increments, so you can fine-tune forefoot wrap on the chairlift instead of pulling off a glove to fiddle with hardware. Up top, two micro-adjustable cuff buckles and a 40mm velcro power strap close the boot around your shin. The Mimic Gold liner is heat-moldable at the heel, ankle, and tongue — bring it in for a shell-and-liner heat on day one and it will hold that shape all season rather than slowly packing out. A 110 flex sits in serious intermediate-to-strong-intermediate territory: enough stiffness to feel the snow underfoot and drive a carve with intention, but forgiving enough that a skier who is still building technique will not get punished for a late weight transfer. Power Shift 2.0 lets you set forward lean independently at 13, 15, or 17 degrees, which genuinely changes how the boot loads your bindings and how early in a turn it responds. The cantable GripWalk pads grip better on pavement and walk appreciably easier than a standard alpine sole, while still transferring power like one.

This boot is built for men who ski solid groomed terrain, mix in some moguls and off-piste, and want BOA convenience without giving up real feedback from the ski. It is not for a beginner — 110 flex will fatigue legs that are not yet used to driving a boot, and the snug Mimic heel hold can feel unforgiving on a foot that needs extra volume or a wider forefoot box. It is also not the right call for an expert or aggressive charger: skiers who are skiing fast on variable snow, railing hard GS turns, or hunting steeps should look at the 120 or 130 in this same Prime line, which give meaningfully more rebound and cuff rigidity. If your foot runs narrow — roughly 95–97mm at the ball — the fit here will be sloppy through the midfoot, and no amount of BOA dial will close that gap; the lower-volume Hawx Ultra line and its 98mm last is the better conversation. And if you have a high instep or a genuinely wide foot in the 102mm-plus range, this 100mm last will press on the top of the foot uncomfortably — the wider Hawx Magna is built for that foot instead. Come in for a fitting before you commit: flex and last have to match both the foot and the skier, and getting either one wrong will ruin days on the hill no matter how good the closure system is.

The Mimic Gold liner is the real differentiator over the non-S model: it heat-molds tighter around the ankle and holds the heel noticeably better than the Silver version.
