The Space 110 is the entry point to Dalbello's BOA-equipped Veloce Space line, and it delivers where it counts. The single BOA dial replaces traditional lower buckles with a micro-adjustable cable that locks the heel and distributes pressure evenly across the forefoot — no more fiddling with buckles in the lift line. Walk mode and GripWalk soles make the walk from the parking lot feel civilized. Quick Fit Panel entry is a genuine time-saver.
The IF Sport Space liner is a step down from the IF Pro Space in the 120/130 — no AUTOFIT memory foam tongue — but it still features Ankle Sense shaping and is fully heat-moldable. At $455 it undercuts the Dual-BOA models by over $100 while keeping the core Space platform. For strong intermediates and advancing skiers, this is a lot of technology for the money.
Strengths
- +BOA single dial — micro-adjustable, even pressure, glove-friendly
- +Walk mode + Quick Fit Panel entry for real convenience on and off snow
- +Strong value at $455 compared to Dual-BOA models at $581+
Best For
Strong intermediate-to-advanced skiers who want BOA convenience and walk mode without paying for the Dual Dial system.
Limitations
- −Single BOA dial — less independent adjustment than the Dual Dial on the 120/130
- −IF Sport Space liner lacks the AUTOFIT memory foam of the Pro version
- −Single BOA dial only — no independent forefoot/cuff adjustment like the Dual Dial on the 120/130
Not For
Expert chargers needing 120+ flex, or skiers on a tight budget who can live without BOA (→ Veloce 110 MV at $419).
Common Questions
- What is the difference between BOA Single and BOA Dual?
- Single dial uses one cable loop per side to tighten the lower shell around the forefoot and heel. Dual adds a second loop for the cuff, so you can independently adjust forefoot closure and cuff tightness. For most recreational and advancing skiers, single dial is plenty.
- How does the Veloce Space 110 compare to the Atomic Hawx Prime 100 BOA?
- Both are medium-volume BOA boots at similar price points. The Hawx has Memory Fit heat-molding for shell + cuff + liner and a 100mm last but no walk mode. The Veloce Space adds walk mode and Quick Fit Panel entry but uses a simpler liner. Choose based on whether walk mode or Memory Fit matters more to you.
- Is walk mode worth it?
- If you walk more than 50 yards from your car to the lift, or ever bootpack to sidecountry, yes. The cuff release lets your ankle flex naturally while walking, reducing fatigue and that awkward ski-boot shuffle.
