The Cochise 110 is Tecnica's do-everything boot — it skis like a four-buckle alpine boot and walks like a touring boot, with 55 degrees of range of motion in walk mode. At 1860g, it's over 200g lighter than the Mach1 MV 130, thanks to a carbon-reinforced PP cuff that saves weight without losing stiffness where it matters. The DYN Tech inserts on the GripWalk sole mean you can clip into tech bindings for short tours, making this a genuine hybrid.

Flex 110 is stiff enough for strong intermediate-to-advanced skiers on-piste and in choppy off-piste conditions, without being punishing on long days. The C.A.S. shell and Celliant liner provide the same customization platform as the Mach1 line. At $520, this is the boot if you want one pair that handles groomers, sidecountry, and short backcountry tours.

Strengths

  • +55° walk mode + DYN Tech inserts — genuine alpine-touring hybrid capability
  • +Lightweight 1860g with carbon-reinforced cuff
  • +C.A.S. heat-moldable shell and Celliant liner for full customization

Best For

All-mountain skiers who split time between resort and sidecountry, and want one boot for everything.

Limitations

  • Flex 110 may feel soft for very aggressive experts (Cochise HV 130 is stiffer)
  • Heavier than dedicated touring boots — not for long backcountry missions
  • DYN Tech inserts add touring compatibility but don't replace a proper AT boot for serious tours

Not For

Dedicated backcountry tourers (get a real AT boot), pure piste skiers who don't need walk mode (Mach1 is better), or experts who need 120+ flex.

Common Questions

Can the Cochise 110 be used with tech bindings?
Yes. The DYN Tech inserts on the sole are compatible with tech/pin bindings for touring. However, it's heavier than dedicated touring boots, so it's best for short tours and sidecountry rather than multi-hour ascents.
How does the Cochise 110 compare to the Mach1 MV 120?
The Cochise 110 has walk mode (55°), DYN Tech inserts, lighter weight (1860g vs 1970g), and carbon cuff. The Mach1 MV 120 has T-Drive for smoother flex, stiffer 120 flex, and is a pure alpine boot. The Cochise is more versatile; the Mach1 is better on-piste.
Is the Cochise 99mm last the same fit as the Mach1 MV 100mm?
Close but not identical. The Cochise MV is 99mm while the Mach1 MV is 100mm — a 1mm difference. Both are Tecnica's medium volume platform with C.A.S. heat-moldable shells, but the Cochise runs slightly narrower. If the Mach1 MV fits you well, the Cochise 110 should fit similarly tight or slightly snugger.
