Description

The Veloce Space 95 W is Dalbello's answer to a real problem in women's all-mountain boots: how do you get a snug, precise fit around the heel and ankle without crushing the forefoot? The name "Space" refers to the expanded room Dalbello has built into the lower shell at the navicular, sixth-toe area, and ankles through their Contour 5 fit concept — five specific zones where the shell is designed to open up, reducing hot spots without loosening overall hold. The result is a 101mm last that reads medium-volume but feels more accommodating across the forefoot than that number suggests. Closure is a single BOA dial at the instep paired with two traditional buckles on the cuff: you dial in the lower foot first for even, wrinkle-free pressure, then secure the cuff independently. The IF Space W liner includes an Ankle Sense feature — an asymmetric, pre-shaped malleolus pad that works with the BOA to lock the heel pocket without clamping the ankle bones. At flex 95, this boot has enough stiffness to give an intermediate or advancing women's skier real feedback and edge response on firm snow, while the walk mode and GripWalk soles make resort life off the chairlift and on mountain paths genuinely manageable.

This boot is built for an intermediate to strong-intermediate woman who skis varied terrain, wants a reliable all-day fit, and is done fighting with a boot that either slips at the heel or punishes the forefoot. If you ski aggressively, charge hardpack daily, or are moving toward expert-level bump and steep skiing, you will likely want more flex — look at Dalbello's Veloce 95 MV W GW or step up to a stiffer option and we can help you sort that out in person. On the other end, if you are newer to skiing, ski fewer than a handful of days a season, or have a genuinely narrow, low-volume foot, this boot's roomier forefoot geometry may let your foot move inside the shell rather than drive it. Fit is everything with ski boots — 101mm on paper does not tell the whole story of how your specific foot shape, instep height, and calf circumference will interact with this shell. Come in and we will put your foot in it before you commit.

The Space 95 W is the best value in Dalbello's women's BOA lineup. You get the BOA single-dial closure, Quick Fit Panel entry, walk mode, and Ankle Sense liner shaping — all at $455, which is $126 less than the Dual-Dial 105 W. The 95 flex is firm enough for confident intermediates and advancing skiers without being a battle for lighter women.

The IF Space W liner is simpler than the Pro version in the 105 — no AUTOFIT memory foam tongue — but it's still heat-moldable and features the Ankle Sense malleolus shaping that makes BOA work better. At 99mm it fits narrow-to-medium feet. If your feet are wider than average, try the Veloce 95 MV W at 100mm instead.

Strengths

  • +BOA single dial + walk mode + Quick Fit Panel at $455 — strong value
  • +95 flex is the versatile sweet spot for most intermediate-advanced women
  • +Ankle Sense liner shaping works well with the single BOA dial

Best For

Intermediate-to-advanced women 120–160lb with medium-width feet who want BOA convenience without the Dual Dial price.

Limitations

  • 101mm medium last — not ideal for wide feet (103mm+)
  • Single BOA dial offers less independent adjustment than the Dual on the 105 W
  • IF Space W liner is functional but lacks the AUTOFIT memory foam of the Pro version

Not For

Wide-footed women (103mm+), beginners who need sub-85 flex, or experts who want Dual Dial precision.

Common Questions

How does the Space 95 W compare to the Cabrio LV 95 W?
Both are 95-flex women's boots, but they are fundamentally different designs. The Space 95 W is a traditional overlap boot with BOA closure and walk mode. The Cabrio LV 95 W uses the three-piece Cabrio construction with buckles and a 3DWrap liner at 98mm — narrower and with a different flex feel. Try both if you can.
Is 95 flex stiff enough for advanced skiing?
For women in the 120–160lb range, 95 flex handles groomed blacks, variable snow, and moderate off-piste well. If you regularly ski steep chutes or race gates, the 105 W will hold up better at speed.
