Stöckli Laser SL Slalom Ski 2026/2027 (also known as Stockli)

The Stöckli Laser SL is the consumer face of Stöckli's slalom line — the short-turn piste carver, Art. 41010327-20, not the Laser SL FIS gate ski it shares a name with. It runs 66 mm underfoot on a 120-66-98 mm sidecut that holds across every length, so length alone sets the radius: 11.0 m on the 150, 11.8 on the 155, 12.7 on the 160, 13.6 on the 165, 14.5 on the 170. The build is a sandwich on a beech-heavy Race Core Stöckli credits for stability and a smooth ride. An aluminum layer carries Flex Torsion Control — an S-shaped notch cut into the metal at shovel and tail — softening the ends for turn entry while the middle stays stiff. Stöckli publishes no sheet count, camber profile, or weight, so we quote none.

On snow, an independent review of this exact ski — confirmed by its 120-66-98 sidecut and 11.0-14.5 m radii — called the edge grip excellent, biting into ice and boilerplate, and the ride remarkably composed for a slalom ski: calm at speed, not twitchy unless you force wildly long arcs. It read as ultra-smooth and damp with an elastic rebound that matches Stöckli's Carbon Power Turn inserts by the plate. Against the field the review put it silkier and calmer than an Atomic Redster S9 Revo, which it called snappier and more aggressive — the Stöckli trades a little snap for damping and calm.

The limits are the flip side of that focus: a pure piste specialist, 66 mm with a 14.5 m top radius, it holds nothing in reserve off the groomers or in long GS-length arcs. Skier level is where the sources split, and we keep both: the independent review rates it advanced-to-expert and happiest under an active, centered skier, while a consumer-SL owner on a forum called it so easy to ski. Stöckli lists no level. The honest read is the intersection — it rewards a skier who drives it from a centered stance, strong intermediate on up, and gives a passive cruiser little back.

Within Stöckli's line the SL is the short-turn extreme. For gates, the Laser SL FIS (Art. 41011127) is the real tool — FIS construction, a 0.5°/3.0° race tune, a forward mount — where this ski's 1.0°/2.0° recreational tune is not. For more turn shapes, the Laser SC (70 mm, R11.6-16.0, up to 176 cm) is the multiturn all-rounder Stöckli says adapts to your style; the Laser WRT (66 mm, R12.3-16.0) adds the giant-slalom stability the SL's 14.5 m ceiling reaches first.

Sizing is simple: the shape never changes, so length sets the radius — shorter for a quicker rhythm, longer for stability at speed. PTO stocks the 160 and 165.
