The Laser line's do-most-arcs carver — 70 mm of Swiss piste ski with standout hard-snow grip, happiest under a skier who drives it.

The Stöckli Laser SC is the multiturn member of Stöckli's Laser piste line — the civilian frontside carver, Art. 41010127-20, that links short through medium arcs on one 70 mm platform. It runs a 120-70-102 mm sidecut that holds across every length, so length alone sets the radius: 11.6 m on the 152, 12.7 on the 158, 13.8 on the 164, 14.9 on the 170, 16.0 on the 176. The build is a sandwich on a beech-heavy Race Core Stöckli credits for stability and a smooth ride. An aluminum layer carries Flex Torsion Control — an S-shaped notch cut into the metal at shovel and tail — softening the ends for turn entry while the middle stays stiff. There is no carbon in the layup; that is the Laser SL and WRT. Stöckli publishes no sheet count, camber heights, or weight, so we quote none.

On snow the independent tests agree on two things: grip and precision. Testers scored its edge grip at or near the top of the scale on hardpack and ice, and described a surgical, damp carver that changes edges quickly and switches turn shapes in a heartbeat — the multiturn brief made real. One independent test handed it a first-place award, strongest in carving and grip. The catch, in the same reviews, is that the SC rewards work: it wants an active, forward-driving stance and a real edge angle to hand over its best, and its lowest sub-score was radius variation, with shorter lengths noted as slightly loose in a straight line.

The limits follow from the shape. At 70 mm on full camber it is a firm-snow tool; flotation scored low and soft snow is a pass-through at best. It is not a bump ski, and a passive cruiser who never tips it on edge gets little back. On ability, Stöckli's own page says all abilities — marketing voice we don't adopt; the independent tests land on sporty intermediate through expert, and that is the honest read.

Within the line, the Laser SL (66 mm, R11.0-14.5) is the tighter short-turn specialist, carrying a carbon Power Turn layer the SC does not have; the Laser WRT (67 mm) adds race-bred power and a second carbon tech; the Laser CX (72 mm) trades the Race Core for a lighter Piste Core Light build with a tail rocker, for lower-effort turns. One not to confuse: the Orea SC (Art. 41010427) shares the SC's exact geometry and construction list — it is Stöckli's design line with a different binding matrix, not a different ski underfoot.
