The Union Force Classic is a value all-mountain snowboard binding, a stripped-down, everyday build in the Force family, and at $249.95 it sits a hundred dollars below the standard Force. Union's own scorecard reads 8 all-mountain, 8 performance and 7 apiece for freestyle and freeride — a competent generalist, tuned as an easygoing everyday ride rather than a specialist.
That easy character is a build decision. Duraflex ST nylon in the baseplate and highback, a multi-density EVA bushing and a full-size Camber Disk carry a mid, slightly forgiving flex that Union rates 6/10, and the whole thing weighs 1.87 kg a pair. Canting comes built in. This is the lighter, plainer sibling of the pricier standard Force, which trades up to a Molecular suspension bushing and firmer componentry.
Reach for it if you want one dependable all-rounder for the whole hill without paying for the top build. For hard-charging damping, the standard Force steps up. For dedicated freeride, Union's Falcor is the tool; for a soft park feel, the Strata; and the STR sits a tier softer still. Tell us how you ride and we will steer you to the right one.
Two notes before you order. The Camber Disk bolts onto boards cut for 4x2, 4x4 and Burton Channel inserts, but it will not take Burton's old 3D three-hole layout, so check what your deck uses. Choose your size by boot, not by body weight; the Force Classic runs S to L, with no XL. A binding ships on its own, so we will mount it to your board and dial in your size and stance in the shop.
