Description
The Union Juliet is a women's all-mountain snowboard binding, a soft flex-5 Camber Disk model built for beginner-to-intermediate riders progressing across the whole hill. Union's own scorecard reads that way: a 7 for all-mountain, a softer 5 in freestyle and 6 in freeride.
The forgiving feel is a materials choice. A base-grade S5 Duraflex baseplate and S11 Duraflex highback are the softest of Union's material grades, tuned for comfort and easy flex rather than stiff drive, while a thermoformed EVA bushing cushions the ride underfoot. Canting is built in, and at 1.69 kg a pair this is the lightest model in Union's Camber Disk family.
Reach for it if you are learning or riding at an intermediate pace and want one light, comfortable women's-fit binding over a stiff, aggressive one. Look elsewhere if you have a specialty: the women's Legacy leans into park, the Astra Step On drives harder as you advance, and the unisex STR pairs the identical chassis with a wider fit. Tell us how you actually ride and we will point you to the right one.
Two practical notes before you order. On mounting, the Juliet bolts to boards cut for 4x2, 4x4 and Burton Channel inserts, but it will not fit the older Burton 3D three-hole layout, so check what your deck uses. On size, choose by boot rather than body weight; the women's range covers S through L, with no XL. A binding ships bare, so we will mount it to your board and confirm your size and stance in the shop.

Flex
Soft and forgiving — 5 on Union's own 1–10 scale
Flex ratings are the brand’s own and do not compare across brands.
Union builds the Juliet as its soft, women's-specific all-mountain binding, and the catalog is upfront about the job: a durable, mid-flexing chassis for beginner-to-intermediate riders ready to explore more of the mountain. Its own scorecard backs that — all-mountain 7, freestyle 5, freeride 6, on a flex that reads 5 of 10. This is a progression binding built on comfort and forgiveness, not a stiff tool for charging, and the numbers say so plainly.
The easy feel is a materials choice. The baseplate is base-grade S5 Duraflex and the highback S11 Duraflex — the softest tier in Union's range, below the fiberglass-loaded Duraflex ST and the carbon Duraflex CB. That is where the forgiving flex comes from: response is traded for comfort. Underneath sits an EXT thermoformed EVA pad that cushions the ride and soaks up chatter, the footbed cants toward the board's center, and the Cam-Lock adjuster tunes highback lean. On the full-size Camber Disk, the whole thing weighs 1.69 kg a pair — the lightest binding in Union's Camber Disk family.
Where it sits in the line is the useful part. The unisex STR is the same S5/S11 Duraflex Camber Disk chassis with the same Union scores; the Juliet is the women's fit and lighter, 1.69 kg a pair against the STR's 1.82. If your days are mostly park, the women's Legacy is the softer, surfier pick — Union rates it 9/10 freestyle on a Mini Disk, against the Juliet's 5. And if you want more all-mountain drive as you advance, the women's Astra Step On rates 9/10 all-mountain, though it is a step-in system that fits only 4x2 and Channel. The Juliet is the forgiving middle of that group, not the sharp end.
Two things to get right before you buy. First, mounting: the Camber Disk fits 4x2, 4x4 and Burton Channel boards, but not Burton's old 3D three-hole pattern — on a 3D board it physically will not mount. Second, sizing follows your boot, not your weight; the women's run is S, M and L only, with no XL, so larger-footed riders need the unisex Force. This is read off Union's catalog. It shares the long-running STR chassis, and everything here is Union's own published spec.
Will it fit your board?
The mounting disk fits 2x4, 4x4, EST/Channel insert patterns.
Technology
Camber Disk
Union's full-size mounting disk, compatible with 4x2, 4x4 and Burton Channel boards. The larger footprint keeps more of the baseplate in contact with the board than a Mini Disk does, favoring damping and even flex transfer over the softer board-feel the Mini Disk park models trade for.
S5 / S11 Duraflex chassis
Base-grade Duraflex nylon in the baseplate (S5) and highback (S11), below the fiberglass-loaded Duraflex ST and the carbon Duraflex CB tiers. It is the softest of Union's material grades, which is where the Juliet's forgiving, easy flex comes from — response is traded for comfort. It drives the board; it is not a safety device.
EXT Thermoformed EVA bushing
A thermoformed EVA pad under the baseplate that cushions the ride and soaks up chatter for all-day comfort. It is a feel feature, not a safety or release device.
Canting + Cam-Lock FLAD
Built-in footbed canting angles the footbed toward the board's center, and a Cam-Lock forward-lean adjuster dials the highback lean without hardware — comfort and drive tuning you set by hand.

Best For
Beginner-to-intermediate women who want one light, forgiving all-mountain binding to learn and progress on — on a board with 4x2, 4x4 or Burton Channel inserts, in a boot size S to L.
Limitations
- −Entry-tier response: base S5/S11 Duraflex and flex 5 trade drive for comfort.
- −Not a specialist — Union's own soft 5 freestyle and 6 freeride.
- −Women's run stops at L — no XL for larger-footed riders.
- −Out-driven when you charge; the Astra Step On rates 9/10 all-mountain.
- −A catalog-and-spec read.
Not For
Advanced, aggressive riders who want a stiff, responsive binding for charging (the women's Astra Step On rates 9/10 all-mountain, and the unisex Force drives harder), dedicated park riders after a soft, surfy freestyle binding (the women's Legacy, 9/10 freestyle on a Mini Disk), anyone mounting a Burton 3D three-hole board (the Camber Disk fits 4x2, 4x4 and Channel but not 3D), and larger-footed riders who need XL — the women's run stops at L, so they need the unisex Force.

Common Questions
- What is the difference between the Union Juliet and the STR?
- They share the S5/S11 Duraflex Camber Disk chassis and the same Union scores. The Juliet is the women's-specific fit and lighter — 1.69 kg a pair against the STR's 1.82. Same mounting disk on both.
- Will the Union Juliet fit my board?
- The Camber Disk mounts 4x2, 4x4 and Burton Channel (EST) boards. It does not fit Burton's older 3D three-hole pattern — on a 3D board it will not physically mount. If you are unsure what your board uses, ask us and we will check.
- What size Union Juliet should I order?
- Size follows your boot, not your weight. Union's women's chart runs S for US women's 4–6.5, M for 6.5–8.5 and L for 9–11. The women's run has no XL. Tell us your boot and we will confirm the size.
- Does the Juliet have a release like a ski binding?
- No. A snowboard binding has no DIN and no release mechanism — it holds your boot to the board. Its specs describe feel, fit and response, not protection.
