The Union Force is a long-running all-mountain binding in Union's line, a mid-stiff model built to handle groomers, chop, a side hit and a park lap without leaning hard toward any one of them. Union's own ratings frame it plainly: a 9 for all-mountain, a middle-of-the-road 7 for both freestyle and freeride.
That balance is a construction choice. A full-size Camber Disk chassis and a fiberglass-loaded Duraflex ST baseplate and matching highback are tuned for drive and a measure of vibration control rather than a soft, playful ride, which is what gives the Force its responsive, mid-stiff character. Canting is built in.
Reach for it if you want one binding that covers the whole mountain and value response over a surfy, forgiving feel. Look elsewhere if you have a specialty: Union's Falcor is the dedicated freeride tool, the Strata is the soft park option, and the Atlas is the stiffer, more aggressive step up. Tell us how you actually ride and we will point you to the right one.
Two practical notes before you order. On mounting, the Force bolts to boards cut for 4x2, 4x4 and Burton Channel inserts, but it will not fit the older Burton 3D three-hole layout, so check what your board uses. On size, choose by boot rather than body weight; the range covers S through XL, though the XL is stocked only in Black and White. A binding ships bare, so we will mount it to your deck and confirm your size and stance in the shop.
