Description
The Union Ultra Women is a women's freestyle-leaning all-mountain snowboard binding built around Union's Asymmetrical Mini Disk chassis, tuned to let you feel the board rather than damp it out. Union's own ratings put it plainly: freestyle is its highest mark, all-mountain sits just under, and freeride is its lowest — a playful, mid-flex binding rather than a stiff charger.
That feel is a build choice. A compact, asymmetric disk keeps less hardware between you and the topsheet, so the board's own flex and pop come through more directly. Underneath, a Molecular Bushing acts as a suspension pad that softens landings and takes the edge off chatter. The highback is redesigned for 26/27, forward lean adjusts, and there is no canted footbed.
Reach for it if you ride park, side-hits and playful all-mountain laps and want a light setup that stays lively. Look elsewhere if you charge hard and want a stiff, damping ride. Within Union's line, the Juliet runs softer for all-mountain, the Legacy is the park-first piece, and the Falcor is the stiffer freeride option. Two practical notes before you order. The Mini Disk mounts a 4x2 hole pattern (which Union also writes as 2x4) or a Burton Channel. A board drilled purely for 4x4, or the old Burton 3D layout, will not accept it. Pick your size by boot rather than body weight; the women's binding comes in S, M and L only, and Union doesn't print a boot range for this page. A binding ships bare, so we will mount it to your board and dial in your size and stance in the shop.

Union's Ultra Women is a light, freestyle-leaning all-mountain binding on the Asymmetrical Mini Disk. Union's own scorecard tells you where it lives: freestyle 9/10 is its top axis, all-mountain 8/10 sits just under it, and freeride 7/10 is the lowest of the four. The flex reads 6/10 on Union's own scale — mid, not stiff — and the pair weighs 1.64 kg. Read together, those numbers describe a binding built to feel the board and stay playful, not to charge hard and damp everything out.
The Ultra's character is built, not marketed. The Asymmetrical Mini Disk is a small mounting disk that leaves more of the board exposed underfoot, so more of the deck's own flex and pop reaches you — a livelier, more connected ride than a full-size disk gives. Union's exclusive Molecular Bushing, with a TPE outsole, is a suspension pad under the baseplate that flexes and rebounds to cushion landings and soak up chatter. The highback is all-new for 26/27 (S25 Duraflex ST), which sets how much the binding drives versus forgives, and the Integrated 2-Stage FLAD dials forward lean. There is no canting.
None of that makes the Ultra a charger, and Union's own freeride 7/10 — its lowest number — says as much; if your days are mostly pointing it downhill fast, the stiffer Falcor is Union's freeride-first pick. Inside the women's line the choices are clear. The men's Ultra is the same chassis and the same four Union scores, just 1.75 kg a pair against this one's 1.64 — a separate binding, not a size of it. The Juliet is the softer, more forgiving women's all-mountain option on a Camber Disk at 1.69 kg, for a rider who does not need the Ultra's freestyle edge. The Legacy is softer and surfier still for park-first days, and the Rosa is the lightest, most entry-level women's binding at 1.46 kg.
Two things to settle on the Ultra before you buy. First, mounting: the Asymmetrical Mini Disk fits 4x2 and Burton Channel boards only — it will not mount a board drilled solely for 4x4 or Burton's old 3D pattern, so check your inserts. Second, sizing follows your boot, not your weight; the women's run is S, M and L with no XL, and Union does not print a boot-size range on this page, so tell us your boot and we will confirm the size.
