Description

The Birds of a Feather is Capita's flagship women's all-mountain freestyle board, and the 2026 version keeps the formula that made it a perennial award-winner: a true twin shape with Capita's Resort V1 + Flat Kick Tech profile, which runs traditional camber underfoot and bleeds into flat-to-reverse at the nose and tail. What that means on snow is you get the edge-hold and pop of full camber through your turns and off hits, while the relaxed tips take a little bit of the catch out of slower-speed riding and make presses and butters more forgiving than a straight-camber board would be. The P2 Superlight core keeps the swing weight down, and the Hybrid HolySheet carbon construction adds snap without making it a board you have to muscle — at a 5.5-out-of-10 flex it's responsive but not demanding. It carves with conviction, launches off natural features, and rides switch as well as it rides forward.

This board is built for women who are solidly past the beginner stage and want one board that handles groomed runs in the morning and park laps or side-hits in the afternoon. If you're still working on linking heel-to-toe turns consistently or you tend to ride at slower speeds to stay in control, the cambered profile will feel grabby and punishing before it feels fun — in that case a softer, more forgiving deck like the Capita Space Metal Fantasy (true twin, reverse camber, much more catch-free) or the Capita Paradise (slightly softer, more relaxed all-mountain twin) will treat you better while you build confidence. And if your priority is deep powder days and you're less interested in park, The Equalizer by Jess Kimura — a directional shape with setback stance and Capita's Resort V2 Directional profile — will float and flow in a way this twin was never designed to do. The Birds of a Feather earns its reputation when you ride it with some commitment and a bit of speed.

The Birds of a Feather is CAPiTA's women's freestyle weapon — a true twin with carbon boosters, Paulownia superlight core, and a sintruded Quantum Drive base. It's noticeably lighter than the Paradise and significantly more aggressive.

The P2 Superlight core (Paulownia + Poplar) with 2x 30mm carbon fiber boosters delivers exceptional pop. Every ollie, every jump, every side hit — the board gives back energy. The Resort V1 camber profile puts traditional camber between the feet for control, with flat transition zones and early-rise tips for catch-free landings.

On groomers, the Birds of a Feather is stable at speed and carves with authority, but this board performs best when ridden aggressively. At slow speeds it can feel underwhelming — it wants to be pushed. Edge hold on steep ice is where it shows limits; the flat sections at the contact points can hinder smooth edge-to-edge transitions in truly firm conditions.

Available in wide sizes (148W, 150W, 152W, 154W) — one of the few women's boards offering this. The Fortress Aramid sidewalls are absent here (that's the Ultrafear), but the construction is still durable enough for regular park laps.
