Description
The Alltrack PRO 80 GW is Rossignol's all-mountain boot built specifically around a woman's foot and lower leg — not a men's mold with a pink liner. The 100 mm last puts it squarely in medium-volume territory, meaning it wraps a normal-width foot without creating pressure points or sloppy heel lift. The flex is 80, which sits on the softer side of intermediate: enough resistance that your input actually travels into the ski, not so stiff that every bump comes straight to your knees. Four micro-adjustable buckles plus a 40 mm power strap give you a progressive tighten-and-check closure — you can dial the fit zone by zone rather than cranking everything down at once. The thermoformable liner (sheep wool construction with Thinsulate insulation) heat-molds to the shape of your foot after a session or two, which eliminates most of the hot spots that make new boots miserable the first week. The shorter upper cuff and tulip-shaped cutout at the rear accommodate a woman's natural calf shape instead of fighting it, which matters for fore-aft balance. Walk mode opens to 50 degrees of range of motion, GripWalk soles make the parking-lot walk survivable, and the Step-In lever at the back swings the shell wide so entry isn't a wrestling match.
This boot is for women skiing blue and moderate black terrain who want something warmer and more walkable than a pure performance shell but still need a real connection to the ski underfoot — think resort day-tripper or someone coming back to skiing after a gap. If you ski aggressively, charge variable snow, or are already comfortable in a flex-90 or higher, the 80 will feel soft and imprecise at speed; look at the Alltrack Elite 80 or step up to a 90-flex option. If your foot runs wide — true wide, not just a D width — the 100 mm last may still pinch; the Alltrack 80 W GW at 102 mm is the better call. And if you are a beginner who has never been fitted, please do not size yourself off a chart alone: shell fit and flex matter more than the number on the box, and we can check both in the shop before you commit.

Rossignol Alltrack Pro 80 W GW

MediumLast Width
100mm— Medium (100–101mm)
The Alltrack Pro 80 W is Rossignol's sweet-spot all-mountain boot for women who ski mixed terrain. The Generative Design Grid shell drops weight and keeps energy transfer efficient, while the Hike Mode 2.0 with 50-degree range of motion lets you walk comfortably to sidecountry stashes. The 100mm medium-volume last fits average-width feet precisely, and the Thinsulate full custom liner thermoforms for a personalized fit.
At $350, it competes with the Alltrack 80 BOA at $385 — the difference is buckle vs. BOA on the lower shell and a 100mm vs. 102mm last. If you prefer traditional buckle closure and want to save $35, the Pro 80 W is the smarter pick.
Strengths
- +Hike Mode 2.0 with 50° range of motion — genuine walkability
- +Generative Design Grid shell is lighter than standard Alltrack models
- +Thinsulate-insulated custom liner keeps feet warm on cold days
Best For
Intermediate women who ski groomers and occasional off-piste, and want walk mode for sidecountry access.
Limitations
- −Flex 80 may feel soft for aggressive advanced skiers on steep terrain
- −Medium 100mm last won't accommodate truly wide feet
- −No BOA — lower shell adjustment is traditional buckles only
Not For
Expert women who need 90+ flex stiffness, wide-footed women (look at Alltrack 70 W at 102mm), or BOA fans.
Common Questions
- What is Hike Mode 2.0?
- A cuff release mechanism that gives you 50 degrees of range of motion for walking. The lower axis-of-rotation and wider shell opening make uphill hiking and walking to the lift comfortable. Flip it back to ski mode for full downhill performance.
- How does the Alltrack Pro 80 W compare to the Alltrack 80 BOA GW W?
- Same flex (80), same walk mode, similar GripWalk sole. The BOA model adds a BOA dial on the lower shell for micro-adjustable fit. The Pro has a 100mm last vs. 102mm on the BOA (slightly wider). The BOA model is $35 more.
