The Union Rosa is a women's soft, freestyle-leaning snowboard binding — flex 4 on Union's ten-point scale — built as the light, budget entry in Union's women's line at $169.95. Union's own ratings keep it honest: all-mountain 6, a top-of-its-card freestyle 7, and freeride 4, its lowest. This is a binding for getting started and building confidence, not for driving a stiff board hard.
That easy character comes from the build. The Rosa uses Union's softest, base-grade nylon in the baseplate and highback — no added fiberglass — so the chassis stays light and forgiving — 1.46 kg a pair — rather than stiff and responsive. There is no canted footbed, a Thermoformed EVA pad damps small shocks, and the straps set with screws. The payoff is all-day comfort and a playful feel while you learn.
Reach for the Rosa if you are a beginner-to-intermediate rider who wants something light, forgiving and playful on any board. Look elsewhere if you want drive and adjustability: the women's Juliet is the stiffer all-mountain step-up with canting, and the women's Legacy is the dedicated park pick. Tell us how you actually ride and we will point you to the right one.
One standout: the Universal V2 Disk mounts on every current board — 4x2, 4x4, Burton Channel, and even the older Burton 3D pattern that Union's other disks miss. Size by your boot, not your weight; three sizes cover it, S through L — in Black, Light Gray and Light Blue, with no XL. A binding ships on its own, so we will mount it to your deck and confirm your size and stance in the shop.
