Union Contact Women Snowboard Bindings 26/27

The 26/27 Union Contact Women is a medium-soft freestyle snowboard binding for riders who want board feel and easy lateral movement ahead of hard-charging response. Union marks the flex at 5/10 and gives it Freestyle 7, while Performance, All-Mountain and Freeride each sit at 6 on Union’s own scorecard. Those are Union ratings, not PTO test scores, and they place the Contact Women clearly on the playful side of the line.

Duraflex shapes both halves of the chassis: S6 underfoot and S2 Asym behind the calf. HP EVA under the chassis and a Non-Stick HP EVA footbed add cushioning. Separate ankle and toe straps retain familiar two-point pressure adjustment. Union publishes a 1.72 kg pair weight.

The Mini Disk is the important board-fit boundary. Board mounting stops at 4x2 and Channel through the Mini Disk. There is no listed fit for 4x4 or Burton 3D. Binding size follows the snowboard boot: On Union’s women’s chart, boots 4–6.5 map to S, 6.5–8.5 to M and 9–11 to L. Do not choose by rider weight, and confirm a boot that lands on a range boundary.

This is the binding for riders who treat the whole resort like a freestyle line. The trade is less leverage when speed and steep terrain start asking for a firmer platform.

Choose the Contact Women for park laps, presses, butters, side hits and playful resort riding. Skip it if steep, fast freeride response is the priority, if the board needs 4x4 or 3D mounting, or if a step-in system is required. PTO can verify the boot range, mount the Mini Disk and set stance before the first day out.
