Description

Salomon's Wide-Fit Boot With BOA — 102mm Last, No Guesswork Closure

The S/PRO Delta BOA 100 GW is Salomon's wide-volume all-mountain boot for the 25/26 season. The 102mm last is the key number here: wider than the 100mm Supra line, designed specifically for skiers whose feet don't fit comfortably in medium-volume shells. The single BOA dial on the lower shell handles forefoot closure, while two aluminum buckles secure the upper cuff.

What Sets It Apart

  • 102mm last — Salomon's widest S/PRO fit. If you've tried the Supra (100mm) and it felt tight across the forefoot, the Delta is the answer.
  • BOA Fit System (lower shell) — one dial, micro-adjustable. Provides even pressure across the forefoot without hot spots. You can fine-tune on the chairlift with gloves on.
  • 2 aluminum buckles (upper cuff) — screwed, easy to remove for bootfitting.
  • 3-position Calf Adjuster — adapts to different calf shapes. Useful for skiers who've had cuff-gap issues in other boots.
  • Custom Shell HD — heat-moldable polyurethane shell. A bootfitter can reshape the shell and cuff in about 10 minutes for a more personalized fit.
  • My Custom Fit 3D Performance liner — pre-shaped with moderate density foam. Decent out-of-the-box fit.
  • GripWalk soles — compatible with GripWalk, MNC, or MN bindings. Much better walking traction than flat alpine soles.

Who It's For

Intermediate to advanced skiers with wider feet who want reliable all-mountain performance without fighting their boots all day. Flex 100 is stiff enough for confident blue and black groomers, but not so stiff that you're exhausted by lunch. Good match for skiers in the 150–200 lb range who ski 15–30 days a season.

Worth Knowing

This is not a narrow, race-oriented boot. If you have a skinny foot, the 102mm last will feel sloppy even with the BOA cranked down. Look at the Supra line (100mm) or the S/PRO Alpha (98mm) instead. Flex 100 is a true intermediate-advanced flex — strong skiers over 200 lbs who charge hard will want a 110 or 120.

Last Width

The S/PRO Delta BOA 100 GW is Salomon's all-mountain boot for intermediate skiers with wider feet who want modern convenience. The BOA Fit System on the lower shell provides micro-adjustable, even pressure across the forefoot — no more cranking buckles with frozen fingers. The 102mm last is wide enough for broader feet without being sloppy, and the three-position Calf Adjuster lets you customize the cuff fit across different calf shapes.

At $364, it packs a lot of features: walk mode, pre-mounted GripWalk sole, BOA, and calf adjustment. Compared to the Atomic Hawx Prime 100 BOA at the same flex and BOA setup, the S/PRO Delta runs wider (102mm vs. 100mm) — so foot width is the deciding factor.

Strengths

  • +BOA Fit System for micro-adjustable lower shell fit with gloves on
  • +3-position Calf Adjuster accommodates different calf shapes
  • +Walk mode + GripWalk sole for practical off-snow mobility

Best For

Intermediate skiers with wider feet who want BOA convenience, walk mode, and a forgiving all-mountain boot.

Limitations

  • BOA cable is a rare but real failure point in the field
  • 102mm last may be too loose for medium-volume feet — consider the S/PRO Supra (100mm)
  • Flex 100 may feel soft for aggressive advanced skiers on hard snow

Not For

Medium-volume feet (look at S/PRO Supra BOA 100mm last), expert chargers (step up to S/PRO Supra Dual BOA 120/130), or budget buyers.

Common Questions

What does the Calf Adjuster do?
The three-position Calf Adjuster modifies the cuff shape to accommodate narrow, medium, or wide calves. It is a riveted pivot that changes leg alignment inside the boot for better comfort and edge control.
How does this compare to the S/PRO Supra BOA?
The Delta BOA has a wider 102mm last and simpler construction at a lower price. The Supra BOA has a 100mm last, ExoWrap construction, Custom Shell HD, and premium liner — it is a more precise, higher-performance boot for medium-volume feet.
Is GripWalk included or sold separately?
GripWalk soles come pre-mounted on the S/PRO Delta BOA 100 GW — no separate purchase needed.
