Description
A Wide, Warm Entry Point for Women Getting Into Skiing
The Tecnica Mach Sport HV 75 W is a beginner-to-intermediate women's boot built on a 103mm high-volume last. That's wide. If standard-width boots pinch your forefoot or leave pressure on the outside of your foot, this is where you start looking.
What You're Getting
- Flex 75 — soft and forgiving. Easy to flex forward, easy to get in and out of. You're not fighting this boot.
- 103mm HV last — specifically shaped for wider, higher-volume feet. The C.A.S. (Custom Adaptive Shape) shell can also be heat-molded by a bootfitter for further fine-tuning.
- 4 aluminum micro-adjustable buckles with Lift Lock — flip them up and the boot opens wide for easy entry. Standard on Tecnica's sport line.
- 35mm Velcro powerstrap for additional shin support.
- GripWalk soles (ISO 23223) — rubber-lugged soles for better traction when walking. Compatible with GripWalk, MNC, or MN binding systems.
- W.S.D. Comfort liner with Celliant — women's-specific shape with a warmer, recycled-fiber liner. Not a performance liner, but comfortable and adequate for learning.
Who It's For
Beginners and early intermediates who ski 5–15 days a season on groomed runs. Women with wider feet who've had trouble finding boots that don't hurt. This boot prioritizes comfort and warmth over aggressive performance.
Worth Knowing
This is not a boot you'll grow into for years. If you're already linking parallel turns confidently and skiing blue-blacks with speed, a flex 75 will feel too soft under load. Look at the Mach Sport HV 85 W or step up to the Mach1 line. Also, at 1600g it's not the lightest boot out there, but weight isn't a priority at this level — fit is.
Forward lean: 12° • Weight: 1600g • Sizes: 22.5–27.5 (half sizes)

Flex 75
MediumLast Width
103mm— Wide (102mm+)
The Mach Sport HV 75 W is the wide-foot version of Tecnica's entry-to-intermediate women's boot. Same shell tech, same C.A.S. customization, same Celliant liner, same Double Quick Instep entry — but with a 103mm high-volume last instead of 100mm. For women with wider feet who've been sizing up to get comfort, this boot fits properly from the start without sacrificing the C.A.S. heat-moldable customization that makes Tecnica boots bootfitter-friendly.
At $344 — the same price as the MV version — there's no penalty for choosing the wider fit. If your foot measures 103mm or wider at the forefoot, or you've always felt squeezed in medium-volume boots, this is the right choice. Flex 75 is forgiving for developing skiers, and the GripWalk sole helps with traction in the lodge.
Strengths
- +103mm wide last with C.A.S. customization — wide-footed women get proper fit and moldability
- +Same price as the MV version — no premium for wider fit
- +Double Quick Instep for easy entry on both sides of the boot
Best For
Beginner-to-intermediate women with wide feet who want a comfortable, customizable boot with GripWalk at an accessible price.
Limitations
- −No walk mode — lodge and parking lot walking only
- −Flex 75 provides limited support for strong skiers
- −Wide last may feel too roomy for medium-width feet — try the MV 75 W instead
Not For
Medium or narrow feet (boot will be too loose), strong intermediate skiers who need 90+ flex, or anyone needing walk mode.
Common Questions
- How do I know if I need HV (103mm) or MV (100mm)?
- Have your foot measured at a ski shop. If your forefoot is 103mm or wider at the widest point, or if medium-volume boots feel tight across the ball of the foot, the HV is the right choice. If your foot measures around 100mm, the MV will fit better.
- Can the C.A.S. shell be narrowed if the boot feels too wide?
- C.A.S. is designed to expand, not contract. If the boot feels too loose, you likely need the MV (100mm) version instead. A bootfitter can add padding or thicker insoles, but a properly fitting shell is always better.
