The OSMO SIGMA is Salomon's all-in-one visor helmet built for resort days when you want one less thing to carry. The integrated SIGMA visor cuts UV and amplifies color contrast on snow — and it's sized to sit comfortably over optical glasses, which puts it in a different category from most goggle-dependent helmets. Shell is in-mold PC construction (partly recycled material) fused with an EPS liner using Salomon's EPS4D technology, which is their approach to absorbing both direct and oblique impacts. There's no MIPS here — if rotational-impact protection is your priority, look at the Driver Pro Sigma MIPS instead. Fit is dialed in via the Custom Dial V system, which lets you adjust both circumference and vertical positioning, and the 3D MaxFit ear pads with Merino wool liner are removable and washable. Active ventilation with Salomon's airflow channels keeps airflow moving between your head and the shell. Certified to EN 1077 and ASTM F2040. Ships with a helmet bag and a travel pouch for the visor.
A good fit for skiers who wear prescription glasses, commuters who want the simplicity of helmet-plus-visor without juggling separate goggles, and anyone who spends most of their time on-piste in variable flat light. Not the call if you need MIPS-level rotational protection, ski in consistently bright sun where a high-VLT goggle would serve you better, or need a touring-compatible fit system.
