The OSMO SIGMA is Salomon's all-in-one visor helmet built for resort skiing. In-mold construction with a polycarbonate shell fused over an EPS liner keeps weight down, and Salomon's EPS4D technology is engineered to handle both vertical and oblique impacts. The integrated SIGMA visor amplifies color contrast on snow, cuts 100% UV, and — unlike a lot of visor helmets — actually fits over optical glasses without fighting you. Fit is dialed via the Custom Dial V adjuster at the back. The liner is Merino wool, removable, and washable. The shell, liner, and strap are largely made from recycled materials. Certified to EN 1077 and ASTM F2040.
This helmet does not include MIPS or any additional rotational-impact liner — if that's a non-negotiable for you, look at the DRIVER PRO SIGMA MIPS instead. The OSMO SIGMA ships with one fixed Cat-2 (~21% VLT) visor — no spare in the box, no quick-swap system. If the light swings between storm and bluebird a lot, you can't change tint the way you could by swapping a goggle lens — that's the real visor-helmet trade-off. If you ski a wide range of conditions or already have a goggle collection you love, a goggle-compatible lid may suit you better.
