1 / 4Burton Women's Step On Escapade Re:Flex Snowboard Bindings
Sold Out
Description
The Burton Step On Escapade Re:Flex is a women's Step On binding that carries the Escapade's comfort features, with a $399.95 MSRP. There are no straps: a Step On boot's toe cleats click into spring-loaded hooks, the heel cleat locks into a heel clip, and a lever on the heel cup lets the boot out.
The hi-back is a Kickback Hammock, internal spring tension between a molded hammock and the hi-back frame, and Burton lists the Soft Disc for this model, a two-piece hinged Re:Flex disc meant for more board feel underfoot. The baseplate is an 18% short-glass/nylon composite, and forward lean turns on a dial. No weight is published. For mounting, Burton lists Re:Flex for 4x4, 2x4 and Channel boards, and pre-2014 Burton 3D boards need a 3D Hinge Disc sold separately.
It is the wrong binding for riders in standard boots or men's Step On boots, because Burton sizes the Step On system by gender. On this listing S covers US women's 5-6 and M covers 6.5-8.5. On boards bought from us, we mount the binding and set the Gas Pedal to your boot. We can help confirm which mounting hardware your board needs.

Burton Step On Escapade Re:Flex
Step On family · 2026/27
Flex
Happy Medium
This is the brand’s own wording, not a number, and it does not compare across brands.
At $399.95, Burton's Step On Escapade costs more than the other two women's Step On bindings in our 26/27 comparison set, yet Burton still rates it Happy Medium, the same tier as the $279.95 women's Step On Re:Flex. Burton's page lists the Kickback Hammock hi-back and the Soft Disc, the softest of Burton's four disc tiers, plus a lean dial that replaces screws for 26/27.
Of the three, only the Escapade's page lists the Kickback Hammock and a Soft Disc. Pay the extra if those are what you want; if the Happy Medium tier is enough, the women's Step On Re:Flex has it for less. If you want a firmer platform instead, the $349.95 Lexa X Step On lists a Stiff Disc.
Technology
Kickback Hammock
The Escapade's hammock-style hi-back, built, in Burton's words, 'for increased response and reduced vibration and comfort.'
Soft Disc
Burton's softest Re:Flex disc, hinged and built in two pieces for board feel and smoother movement beneath the binding. The disc range runs Soft, Medium, Stiff and Stiffest.
Step On connection
Burton's three-point connection: two toe hooks, one heel clip and a self-resetting release lever. Per Burton's manual, Step On bindings are not designed to release or to prevent injury.
Re:Flex mounting
Burton's hinged disc system. Burton's Step On manual lists 4x4, 3D and The Channel as compatible; Burton's old 3D-pattern boards need the 3D Hinge Disc, which is not included.
DialFLAD
New on this model for 26/27, replacing Step On FLAD screws: a rotating dial sets forward lean without tools. Burton: more lean for a quicker response, less for a more relaxed one.
Gas Pedal
An adjustable toe ramp that Burton's manual says to match to your boot size before mounting, to cut toe drag and help the toe cleats engage.
Features
- ·Re:Flex FullBED cushioning
- ·Includes reground materials

Not For
Anyone without women's Step On boots: per Burton, no other boot works in a Step On binding, and mixing men's and women's Step On products will cause a malfunction. Common Questions
- Will Burton's Step On Escapade work with my snowboard boots?
- Only if they are women's Step On boots. Burton says Step On bindings are compatible only with Step On boots, and its manual calls the system size- and gender-specific, so men's Step On boots won't pair with it. Mixing them, Burton warns, will cause a malfunction.
- What size of Burton's Step On Escapade do I need?
- Size by boot and boot gender. Burton's chart puts S at US women's 5-6 (EU 35-36.5) and M at 6.5-8.5 (EU 37-40.5), the two sizes on this listing; Burton also makes an L for 9-11.
