Description

The Burton Women's Highshot Plus Step On is a two-dial Step On® boot with a medium-stiff flex, priced at US$449.95.

Its Dual Zone BOA® divides the lacing into an upper and a lower zone, each on its own Coiler™ dial and each adjusted independently. The heat-moldable Imprint™ 3 liner closes with hook-and-loop, adds lightweight power panels and is built for moisture management, and Burton lists 3M™ Thinsulate™ as the warmth feature. At the ankle, the Focus Cuff rides slightly higher to hug the ankle, which Burton credits for heel hold and response. Underfoot, the Step On™ Outsole uses Burton rubber with 20% recycled content and carries the toe cleats that, with the heel connection, lock the boot into a Step On binding at three points. Burton's feature list calls the flex medium-stiff, and its Personality slider sits in the middle of the scale.

It suits a rider who wants Step On convenience and still wants the upper and lower boot set to different tensions. It is the wrong boot for strap bindings, since Burton limits its Step On boots to Step On bindings, and Burton says mixing women's and men's Step On products will cause a malfunction that could compromise your safety.

This listing runs US women's 6.5–8.5 in Black/Pink and Black/White, in Burton's Regular width; Burton also makes a Wide. The boot carries Burton's one-year warranty. Bring your feet in and we will help you match the boot to the right Step On binding size.

Burton Women's Highshot Plus Step On

Our read of where this boot sits, not a manufacturer rating — snowboard boot flex has no comparable scale across brands.

The Highshot Plus Step On sits between Burton's US$349.95 Highshot and the US$529.95 Highshot X. Over the Highshot it adds independent upper and lower lace zones and swaps in the Imprint 3 liner and the Focus Cuff, for US$100 more; against the Highshot X it keeps Burton's recycled-rubber Step On sole instead of a Vibram one and has no dial-tightened ankle hammock. Burton calls the X firm and this boot medium-stiff.

Burton's own page is inconsistent about the Highshot Plus: its description refers to it as the Highshot Step On and promises a wrap liner, while its spec list names the Imprint 3 with a hook-and-loop closure. Burton gives no weight or last data either, so settle the fit with the boot on your foot.

Strengths

  • +Two Coiler dials set upper and lower tension independently
  • +Imprint 3 liner brings power panels and moisture management
  • +Higher-riding Focus Cuff hugs the ankle for response
  • +Burton insulates it with 3M Thinsulate

Best For

Riders on women's Step On bindings who want separate upper and lower tension from two dials.

Limitations

  • −Burton restricts it to Step On bindings
  • −Burton's copy calls the flex playful, powerful and medium-stiff
  • −Burton publishes no weight, last or volume figures

Not For

Not for a rider on strap bindings, or for use with a men's Step On binding. And not for a rider who wants a soft, easy-flexing boot.

Common Questions

Is the Burton Highshot Plus Step On new for 26/27?
Burton describes it as 'an innovative and completely new design', and its US site carries no earlier-season Highshot Plus page. Its feature text says the boot's performance is aligned to the previous Women's Limelight Step On.
Which bindings and binding size fit the women's Highshot Plus boot?
Only Step On bindings — Burton says Step On boots are only compatible with Step On bindings. Burton's women's Step On chart puts sizes 6.5–8.5 in a Medium, which covers every size on this listing, and it warns that mismatched sizes or a mix of men's and women's Step On products will result in malfunction and could compromise your safety.
Is the Burton Highshot Plus a playful or a stiff boot?
Burton's words disagree: the tagline says 'playful flex', the description 'powerful flex' and the feature list 'medium-stiff'. The bar Burton draws on its Personality scale is centred on Happy Medium, and Burton gives no number for boot flex; PTO's own read is Medium.
