The Revent GT AMID is Atomic's flagship all-mountain ski helmet — built for adult skiers who want serious protection without a heavy or bulky lid. The shell is a hybrid: ABS hardshell on the outside, in-mold construction on the inside, which keeps weight down (around 450g in a size S) while adding rigidity where it counts. The rotational-impact system is Atomic's own AMID (Atomic Multi-directional Impact Deflector) — not MIPS. It's a dual-density foam layer fixed to the helmet's core but free to move in all directions, so it can shift slightly to redirect rotational energy on an angled impact. The helmet is certified to CE EN 1077:2007 Class B and ASTM F 2040. Class B covers standard recreational alpine use; if you're a race or speed event participant, check whether Class A is required for your discipline.
The 360° Fit System dials in circumference and height independently, and the Live Fit foam wraps around your head rather than just clamping front-to-back — useful if you have a rounder or wider head that standard dials don't catch. Active Aircon Venting gives you manually adjustable channels across the top, so you can crack it open on a warm spring lap or close it down in a storm. The liner is removable and washable, with 3M X-Static Merino for odor control. Audio-compatible ear pads mean you can drop in speakers if you use them; no built-in audio included. No visor on this model — there's a separate Revent GT AMID Visor HD if that's what you're after. Not the right pick if you need a women's-specific fit or a junior size — this is a unisex adult helmet.
