PTO Verdict

Fast, precise, explosive, absolutely unapologetic. This board rides exactly like Marcus Kleveland looks on video.

Best for: Advanced-to-expert freestyle riders who want maximum pop and precision from a camber twin. The rider who finds the standard Team too soft. Competitive riders and aggressive all-mountain shredders who push speed and amplitude.

Not for: Intermediate riders — the flex will fight you. Jib-focused park riders who need a softer board for presses. Casual weekend riders who want something forgiving. Anyone not regularly riding at high speed or hitting bigger features.

Description

The Team Pro x Marcus Kleveland is Nitro's full-camber park-and-mountain weapon built around what their three-time Slopestyle World Champion actually rides. Trüe Camber means honest, unrelenting camber from tip to tail — the kind of profile that gives you a lively, loaded feel underfoot, maximum edge contact on hardpack, and genuine pop off the lip rather than the mushy release you get from hybrid designs. Paired with a stiff flex (8 out of 10), carbon reinforcement that wakes up the snap, and a Dual Degressive sidecut — tighter radius in the center for quicker initiation, mellower in the tip and tail for forgiveness at the end of a turn — this board gives you precise edge hold at speed and a high-energy snap on hits that you can feel. The Powerlite poplar core keeps the weight honest for a board this responsive, and the high-speed sintered base drinks wax and holds it. The slight stance setback on the directional twin shape is subtle enough that switch riding stays comfortable, while giving the nose a bit more float in variable snow.

This board is for advanced to expert riders who spend serious time on park features, big mountain side hits, or groomed hardpack and want a board that doesn't back down when they push it — the stiff flex and full camber demand commitment and edge awareness that intermediate riders haven't developed yet. If you're still building your foundation, charging at this board will feel unforgiving and reward you with bruises more than breakthroughs; the Nitro Team in a softer flex profile would be a more honest fit. The directional twin shape also means this isn't purpose-built for deep powder days — riders whose season revolves around backcountry or soft snow should look at something with rocker or a more pronounced directional template. But for the rider who wants to throw tricks with Marcus-level pop and still rip groomers on the way down, this is the one.

The take

Fast, precise, explosive, absolutely unapologetic. This board rides exactly like Marcus Kleveland looks on video.

The Team Pro MK is what happens when you take the Nitro Team and remove every compromise that made it friendly. Same Powerlite core, same Directional Twin shape, same True Camber — but add Diamond Band carbon reinforcement and the fastest base in Nitro's lineup, then crank the flex from 7 to 8. The result is a board that doesn't wait for you.

The Diamond Band carbon runs tip-to-tail and adds meaningful stiffness and snap without making the board feel dead. When you load into a turn or wind up for an ollie, the energy return is noticeably more explosive than the standard Team. The Speed Formula HD base is Nitro's top-tier sintered compound — higher wax absorption, more abrasion resistance, and measurably faster than the EcoSpeed HD on the Team.

Where the Team is forgiving and balanced, the MK is demanding and rewarding. It carves with real authority on hardpack — the combination of stiff camber and carbon means you can lay into turns at speed without the board washing out or chattering. But that same stiffness means it doesn't butter easily, it doesn't forgive sloppy technique, and it doesn't let you cruise at low speeds comfortably.

This is Marcus Kleveland's board. He's arguably the most technically gifted freestyle rider on the planet. If you're not riding at a high level, the standard Team will make you happier. If you are, this board will make you better.

Bindings we'd pair with it

Mount point: Nitro does not print an insert pattern on its product pages; our read is a standard 2x4, which any standard disc binding mounts to — we confirm the fit before your bindings go on. Our pick: Nitro Team Pro.
