Not for: Aggressive riders who charge at speed and want a stiff, damp, directional freeride board: the Fate is soft and built to forgive, not to hold a high-speed line. Dedicated powder hunters - Standard width and a small directional setback float a resort powder morning, but this is not a deep-day board. Riders after a hard-charging park deck should look at the stiffer Fate Pro instead.

Description
The Nitro Fate is a women's all-mountain snowboard built on a forgiving Cam-Out camber and a soft, mid-range flex, and Nitro has carried it in the line longer than any of its other women's boards. The shape is a Directional Twin: a twin silhouette carried with a small 15 mm setback, so it rides switch yet tracks a shade steadier than a dead-centered board. Cam-Out holds camber under the bindings for pop and grip, then lifts the nose and tail early so the ends do not catch when a landing arrives crooked.
Underfoot, the board is tuned to be easy. A thinner section of core between the bindings frees the Fate to twist from edge to edge, so steering asks for less input. Nitro's Dual Degressive sidecut, the softest-turning shape in its catalog, keeps the ride playful and loose rather than glued to one line. Put together, this is a deck for someone still learning the mountain or wanting a relaxed daily ride, not a stiff board for speed or deep snow.
The Fate is offered in four lengths, 144 through 153 cm, with waists of 236 to 242 mm; the pick is driven by your height, weight and boots rather than a width choice. Beneath the graphics sit a light Powerlite poplar core, Bi-Lite laminates and a sintered base chosen for glide and easy upkeep. The Nitro Fate is the women's board Nitro has kept in its line the longest, and it earns that spot by being forgiving rather than fast. This is a soft, mid-flex all-mountain deck - a 5 out of 10 on Nitro's own scale - aimed at a rider who is still sharpening her skills, or who simply wants a board that does not fight her at the end of a long day. Forgiveness is the headline, and the build is arranged around it.
Cam-Out sets the tone. Nitro keeps real camber between the feet, so the Fate still pops and holds an edge, but the nose and tail lift early, which takes the bite out of the very ends. A landing that comes in a little crooked, or a turn you scrub late, is less likely to hook a tip. Behind that, the Reflex Core Profile thins the core underfoot to loosen the board's twist, so tipping it onto edge and steering through the arc asks for less muscle than a stiffer deck would.
The Dual Degressive sidecut finishes the picture. It runs a tighter arc underfoot with larger radii toward the tip and tail - a 7.0 m radius under the feet opening to 8.0 m near the ends on the 153 - and Nitro calls it their most forgiving sidecut. On snow that reads as loose and playful: the Fate slides into a turn easily and never feels pinned to a rail. The Directional Twin shape and its 15 mm setback keep it riding switch while pushing a little more board out front, so it tracks and floats a touch better than a dead-centered twin.
Be clear about what the Fate is not. A soft board gives up high-speed stability and damping, so a rider who charges hard and fast will ride past it - and for that, Nitro's own answer is the stiffer Fate Pro, a separate model on full camber. The Fate is a Standard-width deck with only a small setback, so it handles a resort powder morning but is not a deep-day tool. Nitro also publishes no board weight, no torsional-flex number and no ability level, so the progression read here is ours - drawn from the flex, the camber and the sidecut, not stamped official.
Sizing is simple. The run goes 144 to 153 in four lengths, and the width is Standard, so the call is your height, weight and boot size, not a wide-versus-standard question. One honest note from the spec sheet: Nitro's dealer manual and its product page name the base differently, though both are sintered - so we write 'a sintered base' and leave the label to Nitro. - They are different boards.
