The Nitro Mercy is a women's park and jib twin, built soft and forgiving, and at $439.95 it is the cheapest board in Nitro's women's park series. It is a true twin - symmetrical nose and tail, a centered stance and zero setback - on a Standard-width platform whose waists run 228 mm at the 138 up to 238 mm at the 149. Nitro offers it in four lengths: 138, 142, 146 and 149.
The ride comes from two choices. The camber is Cam-Out, which holds camber underfoot and then eases out early and smoothly into the tip and tail; softening the ends makes the board catch-free on landings, rails and presses, at the cost of the locked-in edge hold a full-camber deck gives you. The Dual Degressive sidecut pairs a tighter radius underfoot with larger radii out at the tip and tail, so it turns quickly in the park yet stays loose and easy to slide. Nitro rates the flex a soft 4 on its own ten-point scale.
That adds up to a progression park board. It suits a rider building a trick list on boxes, rails, butters and small-to-medium jumps, and it is a forgiving deck to learn switch and presses on. It is not a powder board - a centered twin with no setback has nothing to float the nose - and it is not built for riding fast and hard, where a soft twin on an extruded base washes out. Riders who want camber pop or high-speed hold should look at the cambered Zaza instead.
The Mercy ships as a deck only; bindings are not included. We mount them, and help you pick your length and size, in the shop.
