Description

Atomic HAWX PRIME 110 BOA – All-Mountain Precision & Comfort

The Atomic Hawx Prime 110 BOA is built for all-mountain skiers who demand power, comfort, and a customizable fit. With a medium-volume 100 mm last and 110 flex, it offers responsive performance without sacrificing comfort for longer days on snow.

Featuring the BOA® Fit System on the lower shell, this boot delivers a micro-adjustable wrap that securely holds the foot for precision energy transfer. Prolite construction keeps the build slim and light while reinforcing power zones for strength. Inside, the Mimic Silver liner with Ankle Lock adapts perfectly to your foot’s shape, using heat-mold customization for a truly anatomical fit. Memory Fit technology reshapes the shell and cuff in minutes, while the AFS Cuff spoiler can be removed for more calf room.

  • Medium 100 mm last: ideal for average foot shapes.
  • 110 flex: responsive and supportive for advanced all-mountain skiing.
  • BOA® Fit System: micro-adjustable closure for precise fit and energy transfer.
  • Prolite construction: lightweight shell with reinforced strength zones.

The Hawx Prime 110 BOA gives you BOA convenience in a medium-volume 110 flex shell without paying the S-tier premium. The BOA H+i1 dial replaces the two lower buckles with a single micro-adjustable closure — faster on/off, more even pressure distribution across the forefoot, and you can tweak it on the chairlift with gloves on. The Mimic Silver liner is a step below Mimic Gold, but still heat-moldable with decent ankle lock. AFS removable cuff spoiler adds room for bigger calves.

Vs. the Hawx Prime 110 S BOA GW, you trade the Mimic Gold liner for a lower price point — both have GripWalk soles. Against the Salomon S/PRO Alpha 110 BOA, the Atomic runs a touch wider through the forefoot even at the same 100mm spec. If you want the upgraded Gold liner and Power Shift forward lean adjustment, step up to the 110 S BOA GW.

Strengths

  • +BOA H+i1 lower closure — micro-adjustable, glove-friendly, even pressure
  • +Memory Fit heat-molds shell and cuff for a custom fit in minutes
  • +Prolite shell keeps the boot light without sacrificing structure

Best For

Intermediate-to-advanced medium-volume skiers who want BOA convenience at a competitive price point.

Limitations

  • Mimic Silver liner is serviceable but noticeably below Gold/Platinum in heel hold
  • No walk mode — touring skiers look elsewhere

Not For

Wide feet (102mm+ → Hawx Magna), expert chargers who demand top-tier liner performance, or anyone needing walk mode.

Common Questions

What is the difference between the Hawx Prime 110 BOA and 110 S BOA GW?
Both models have GripWalk soles. The S version upgrades to a Mimic Gold liner (vs. Silver) and adds Power Shift 2.0 forward lean adjustment. The non-S is the more affordable option with the same GripWalk compatibility.
Can I replace the BOA cable if it breaks?
Yes. BOA offers a lifetime guarantee on their closure systems. If a cable or dial fails, contact BOA directly for a free replacement kit. In practice, cable failures are rare with normal use.
Does the Hawx Prime 110 BOA fit true to size?
Generally yes for Mondo sizing. The 100mm last fits medium-volume feet well. If you are between sizes, size down for performance or up for comfort — but always get professionally fitted. Memory Fit can adjust up to 6mm in the forefoot.
