Capita's Hover Core — paulownia and poplar — keeps weight down while the CarbonFlax V-Tech Amplifiers, a carbon-and-flax weave, add rebound and damp out chatter at speed. The Death Grip sidecut with its single disrupted serration is a real thing on ice: you can charge a groomer in the morning, hit a mid-mountain jump line, and still have edge hold when the afternoon boilerplate comes out. The Hyperdrive sintered base is fast out of the box and takes wax well. This is a medium-stiff board that wants to be pushed — it rewards a committed heel-to-toe edge-to-edge drive, not tentative riding.

This board fits intermediate-to-advanced riders who want one quiver board that covers groomers, side-country lines, and the occasional big feature without needing to swap boards mid-trip. It's a directional twin, so it'll ride switch when you need to, but it isn't built for a park diet — the setback and the stiffer longitudinal flex push it toward all-mountain charging rather than jibbing and pipe laps. If you spend most of your day in the park, the Capita DOA is the better call: a true twin with a softer, more forgiving flex pattern built around freestyle. Beginners and riders still building their edge game should also look elsewhere; the stiffness and camber-dominant profile demand commitment to get the most out of it, and a more forgiving setup will teach you faster.
