The take
“Arthur Longo's carving machine — progressive sidecut and CarbonFlax amplifiers deliver precision and pop on every groomer run.”
The Aeronaut is Arthur Longo's pro model and CAPiTA's directional resort charger. Alpine V3 camber — 7mm of traditional camber that zeros out before the sidecut ends — gives the power and response of full camber with slightly more controlled entry and exit. The 0.8" setback and progressive dual-radius sidecut (larger in the nose, smaller in the tail) facilitate smooth turn initiation and powerful exit.
The Panda Hover Core combines Paulownia and Poplar for ultralight construction with excellent dampening. CarbonFlax amplifiers — natural flax fiber woven with carbon — add stability and vibration dampening without deadening the ride. The HolySheet Tri/Bi fiberglass (triaxial top, biaxial bottom) provides torsional stiffness that holds edge angles on hardpack.
On groomers, the Aeronaut is precise and powerful — it carves with authority and rewards intentional, aggressive riding. The progressive sidecut makes turn shapes versatile, from tight arcs to long sweeping GS-style carves. Pop is excellent for side hits and natural features.
The trade-off is that it's not a powder board. Despite the directional shape, there's no nose rocker and minimal taper — it's a resort carver, not a freeride board. In soft, chopped-up snow it can feel bouncy, a common CAPiTA trait from the poppy construction.
