Völkl Mantra 88 Skis 26/27

The 2026/27 Völkl Mantra 88 is the middle-width option in the Mantra family, built for skiers who want strong groomer performance without giving up mixed-terrain range. At 88 mm underfoot with a 134-88-114 mm shape, it is quicker from edge to edge than the 96 mm M7 Mantra yet offers more platform in soft or broken snow than the Mantra 84. It is a practical one-ski choice for firm mornings, bumps, trees and variable resort afternoons.

Völkl uses 3D Radius Sidecut, combining three radii along the ski. The shorter center radius supports tighter turns, while longer radii toward the tip and tail give the ski room to make larger arcs as speed and edge angle increase. Tip and tail rocker help with turn entry and release without turning the Mantra 88 into a surf-oriented powder ski.

The Multilayer Woodcore is reinforced by a Tailored Titanal Frame whose width is matched to each ski length, plus a thinner Titanal layer around the binding area. Tailored Carbon Tips add precisely placed carbon fibers in the shovel. Full Sidewall construction and a brushed P-Tex 2100 base complete the build.

Völkl publishes four lengths from 163 to 184 cm, with per-ski weights from 1690 g to 1980 g without bindings. The Mantra 88 is sold flat. Choose the M7 Mantra for more soft-snow platform, or the Mantra 84 for an even quicker, piste-first setup.
