Völkl M7 Mantra Skis 26/27

The 2026/27 Völkl M7 Mantra is the widest and most mixed-snow-oriented ski in the current Mantra group. Its 96 mm waist gives it more platform for soft, broken and variable snow than the Mantra 88 or 84, while the 139-96-121 mm shape keeps it practical for a full resort day. This is the choice for a skier who wants one directional ski to move between groomers, bowls, trees and afternoon chop without stepping up to a dedicated powder width.

Völkl’s 4 Radius Drive blends four radii through the sidecut. The goal is not one locked-in turn shape: different parts of the edge engage as the ski is tipped and pressured, giving the M7 room to make shorter direction changes or settle into longer arcs. Tip and tail rocker help the ski enter turns and release when the snow is loose or the terrain gets tight.

The construction is substantial but length-tuned. A Multilayer Woodcore is paired with a Tailored Titanal Frame whose material distribution changes by ski length, plus a thinner Titanal layer through the binding area. Tailored Carbon Tips place carbon fibers in the shovel, while Full Sidewall construction and a P-Tex 2100 base support the ski’s resort-focused durability.

The published range runs from 163 to 191 cm, with weight rising from 1800 g to 2300 g per ski. The M7 Mantra is sold flat, so bindings are selected and mounted separately. Skiers who spend more of the day on firm groomers should compare the narrower Mantra 88 and Mantra 84.
