Stöckli Carbon Motion Pole (also known as Stockli)

The Stöckli Carbon Motion is a fixed-length alpine pole built around a full carbon shaft — the kind of construction that noticeably reduces swing weight compared to aluminum. Every time your arm cycles forward, a lighter pole takes less energy and less time to recover, which adds up over a long day of hard skiing. Stöckli doesn't publish the tube diameter for this one specifically, but it sits in the same carbon family as the Carbon Comp (a 13/9mm tapered shaft), and it carries that family's character: stiff enough to plant firmly without the sharp buzz you get from cheaper carbon layups. The grip is a straightforward rubber race-style design with a standard wrist strap — no release mechanism, no articulating cuff. The basket is a small alpine plate washer built for groomers and hard pack; it'll plant clean on firm snow but it is not a powder basket.

This pole makes the most sense for an intermediate-to-advanced resort skier who already runs Stöckli equipment (the colorways are matched to Stöckli's ski graphics) or simply wants a clean, no-fuss carbon stick at a fair price. If you spend time in the backcountry or want to adjust length between skin tracks and lift-served runs, look at the Carbon All Mountain Vario instead — that's Stöckli's current adjustable resort pole (105–135cm, aluminum upper over a carbon lower). The fixed Carbon Motion is also not the call for anyone who regularly charges deep snow: that small plate basket will sink, and you'll want something with a wider powder basket. And if budget is the first question, Stöckli's Alu Comp covers the same alpine use case in aluminum at a lower price.
