Smith I/O MAG XL Goggle

The I/O MAG XL is Smith's largest-frame goggle — built for riders with big faces, a preference for an oversized fit, or anyone who simply wants the most glass in front of their eyes. The spherical Carbonic-X lens uses ChromaPop technology to filter out the specific wavelengths that cause color confusion, which in practice means features in flat light read sharper and snow texture stays visible longer into the day. Every colorway comes with two ChromaPop lenses — a bright-light tint and a low-light option — and the MAG system makes swapping them a 10-second job: push the levers on either side to release, and eight magnetic contact points guide the new lens into place without fumbling. The magnets align it, the levers lock it down mechanically, so the lens stays put even in a crash.

The frame is OTG-compatible if you ski in glasses, and AirEvac channels pull warm air out through the top vent rather than letting it pool on the inner lens — that works alongside the 5X anti-fog coating on the inner lens and DriWix triple-layer face foam that wicks moisture at the seal. Helmet integration is solid; the strap is wide with a silicone backing and a QuickFit clip adjustment so you're not peeling off a glove to adjust it. A Low Bridge Fit version (also called Asia Fit) is sold separately if you need lower nose-bridge clearance. Skip this goggle if your helmet sits low on your forehead — the extra-tall XL frame can conflict with tighter-fitting lids — and if you have a medium or narrow face, the standard I/O MAG fits better without the extra airspace around your nose and cheeks.
