The 4D MAG XL Low Bridge Fit is Smith's widest-view goggle, built specifically for faces with a lower nose bridge or wider/higher cheekbones. The spherical lens uses Smith's BirdsEye Vision geometry — the bottom of the lens curves downward and inward, expanding your downward and peripheral view by 25% over a standard spherical lens and 13% over the regular 4D MAG. ChromaPop optics sit underneath that geometry, boosting color separation and contrast so features in the snow read cleaner at speed. Two lenses come in the box: a bright-light ChromaPop lens and a bonus low-light ChromaPop lens, swapped in seconds via the MAG magnetic system. The XL frame is also the only goggle in the 4D lineup that fits over prescription glasses (OTG), and the three-layer DriWix foam plus AirEvac venting integrates with Smith helmets to stay fog-free throughout the day.
Who should look elsewhere: if you have a standard or narrow bridge, the regular 4D MAG or 4D MAG S will fit and seal better — the Low Bridge Fit gasket is shaped for the specific face geometry it's named for, and a poor seal defeats the anti-fog system. If your face runs narrower or smaller than medium-large, try the standard 4D MAG before committing to this frame width.
