Description

The Salomon Lotus Snowboard is like the best teacher you ever had: it has a gentle, easygoing personality, and it's quick to forgive mistakes. The Lotus' versatile directional twin shape is perfect for making the transition from falling leaf to linked turns, and Bite Free Edges mean it won't catch an edge and slam you into the snow at the blink of an eye. For beginner to intermediate riders, this board is up there with the best.

The take

A confidence-building women's board that forgives mistakes so you can focus on learning — at a clearance price that makes first-board buying easy.

The Lotus is Salomon's entry-level women's all-mountain board, and everything about it is designed to reduce the consequences of mistakes. Flex rating of 1 out of 5. Flat Out Camber profile. Extruded base. Bite Free edge bevel that rounds down the contact points at tip and tail so the board is significantly less likely to catch an edge during traverses or off-axis moments. For someone still working on linking turns or building muscle memory for toe-side and heel-side transitions, that matters more than any spec sheet number.

The Aspen core with birch reinforcement under the bindings keeps it light and responsive enough that you can actually feel what the board is doing beneath you. The directional twin shape rides mostly forward but won't punish you for trying switch. Turn initiation is predictable thanks to the radial sidecut. None of this is exciting on paper — it's not supposed to be. It's supposed to get out of your way and let you learn.

As a 2025 clearance board, the Lotus represents serious value for a first-time buyer. It won't last forever in your quiver — an intermediate rider will outgrow it within a season or two — but as a skill-building tool at this price point, it does exactly what it should.
