At a medium flex (5/10), the board has enough backbone to hold a carve on groomed runs and stay composed in variable snow, while staying loose enough to initiate presses, play with the terrain, and slash through trees without fighting the board. The Aspen SLCT core uses Salomon's Popster Core Profile — variable-thickness woodwork that concentrates stiffness underfoot and softens toward the tip and tail — which gives the ollie and butter a lively, skatey feeling.
