The Dancehaul is Salomon's volume-shifted all-mountain board, built around a simple idea: ride it shorter than your normal length and get the float of a bigger board with the agility of a smaller one. The 12mm of taper, directional shape, and Rock Out Camber profile — flat between the feet, camber under the bindings, rocker at tip and tail — combine to create a ride that feels surfy and playful without being sloppy. In trees and soft snow, this board comes alive.
Powder performance punches above its class. The wide waist (264mm on the 152) and tapered directional shape keep the nose up without you having to muscle your weight back. Butters and slashes feel effortless thanks to the medium-soft flex. But push the Dancehaul into aggressive high-speed carving and the edges start to wash — the flex doesn't have the backbone for laying trenches on hardpack. That's by design, not a defect.
