This brand publishes no flex rating for this binding. The number above is its own separate figure, and it does not compare across brands.
Ride charges $399.95 for the Circuit, and the honest way to frame that number is to say what it does not buy. The A-Series aluminum chassis under this binding is the same one under the Drone at $359.95 and the Specter at $279.95. So is the Linkage Ratchet. The Drone and the Specter run a nylon highback and a two-piece strap, while the Circuit gets the Overmold Highback and the interlocked Dual Material Ankle Strap. Ride's own component lists separate them further, one model at a time: the Specter's basepad is an A-Series Diecut where the Circuit's is A-Series TPU, and the Drone's toe strap is a Minimalist Core Toe Strap. Both of them also run Ride's Canted Footbed, while the Circuit gets the Performance Footbed. So the highback and the strap are not the whole of the difference.
The case for paying up is that highback. Nylon below for support, urethane above for give, molded as a single part with a canted centerline — Ride's stated aim is a highback that holds your leg without locking out side-to-side movement. Ride also says it softened the chassis relative to earlier designs and kept it narrow by making it entirely aluminum, so the board underneath can bend more freely. Read together, those are the claims of a binding meant to drive a board while leaving the top of your calf some room.
Then there is the disc, and Ride's own two statements do not sit well together. The line Ride prints directly under this binding's name reads "The all-mountain binding for hard charging days", and Ride rates its Response Aggressive. Further down that same page, in Ride's own mounting-disc block, Ride describes the plastic disc this binding ships with as the choice for riders prioritizing comfort and flex over hard charging performance. Same page, opposite directions. That contradiction belongs to Ride, not to us, and we would rather show it to you than paper over it. What the $399.95 is worth against that is our read, not Ride's.
A few more things you should weigh. This binding is new this season, and every ride-feel statement above is Ride's own claim, restated. Ride publishes no weight for it despite the description leaning on light-weight language. And Ride's own numbers for this binding do not line up: the 1-to-10 Responsiveness bar the page draws sits at 8 and the dealer export says 8, while the page's never-displayed Feel attribute reads 10/10. Ride never says the two are the same axis. We publish the 8. Those same sources also give the toe strap three different names.
Sizing runs off your boot, never your weight, and only two sizes exist here: M covers roughly US Youth/Men's 6 to 10, L starts at 10.5. There is no Small in this model, so smaller feet need a different binding entirely.
Will it fit your board?
Ride publishes no insert pattern for this binding. Reading the disk it ships with, we put it on 2x4, 4x4, EST/Channel — that is PTO’s call, not Ride’s. Whether a binding mounts is a fit question, not a copy question: if you are not sure what your board is drilled for, bring it in and we will hold the disk against it.
Technology
Overmold Highback
The part that separates this binding from the cheaper ones on the same chassis. Two pieces of two different materials overmolded into one highback: an injected nylon lower section that Ride says carries support, responsiveness and stability, and a soft urethane upper that Ride says keeps the highback flexible and comfortable. Ride states the canted centerline and curved profile are there to support the leg without limiting lateral and medial movement.
Dual Material Ankle Strap
Two separately injected urethane components, mechanically interlocked. Ride states the interlock is for durability and responsiveness, and gives the two parts different jobs and different hardnesses: a medium-stiff outer frame that carries structured support on both the medial and lateral sides, and a medium-soft internal pad set off from that frame, which Ride says expands as you tighten so pressure spreads across the boot instead of concentrating. The Drone and the Specter use a Two-Piece Ankle Strap instead.
A-Series Aluminum Chassis
An aluminum chassis with an extruded aluminum heel cup, which is the part Ride credits with toe-to-heel response. Ride states the chassis was deliberately made less rigid than its previous designs so the aluminum flexes more under rider weight, and that being 100% aluminum lets it sit narrower than a nylon or plastic chassis, so the board flexes more freely tip to tail. Shared with the Drone and the Specter — the chassis is not what makes the Circuit the Circuit.
A-Series TPU Basepad
A urethane base pad that sits under the binding and wraps up the side of it. Ride states the urethane damps underfoot while the wrapped-up sides add response as you drive weight into a turn.
Performance Footbed
A blend of 3 materials, and Ride names all three: rubber pods in the heel and toe so the boot does not sink into the foam, full-footprint EVA for weight reduction and damping, and plastic wrapped in EVA foam for response without adding chatter. Ride states the footbed is there for response, durability, vibration damping and stability, and that it is canted. Ride publishes no thickness and no cant angle for it.
Plastic Disc
The mounting disc is plastic rather than aluminum. Ride's own technology copy says a plastic disc offers more lateral flex than aluminum, for the rider focused on comfort and flex over hard charging performance.

- Will the Ride Circuit fit my board?
- Ride publishes no hole pattern for this binding — a full scan of the official product page turns up no mention of 4x4, 2x4, Channel or EST. What Ride does publish is a plastic mounting disc its own SKU lists as fitting all Ride bindings, plus a separately sold disc mounting hardware kit for the Channel system. Channel boards also take different mounting bolts than insert boards. Tell us what board you are mounting it on and we will confirm before you order.
- Is the Ride Circuit stiff? What is its flex rating?
- Ride publishes no flex rating for this binding, and neither do we. What it draws instead is a 1-to-10 scale on the Circuit's own page — it labels the axis Responsiveness, prints 1 at one end and 10 at the other — and puts this binding's mark at 8, and Ride's 26/27 dealer feature export says 8 for the same style. A third figure sits in the page's data and is never displayed to you: a Feel attribute reading 10/10, which is the number Ride's Circuit Carbon carries. On the Drone, the Specter and the Circuit Carbon that hidden attribute and the drawn mark agree exactly, so the Circuit is the one place they split, and two of the three sources say 8; Ride also rates the Response tier Aggressive. What Ride does not tell anyone is how it arrives at the number, or whether Feel and Responsiveness are meant to be the same axis, so treat it as Ride's internal ordering and do not read it across brands.
- Is the Circuit a men’s binding or unisex?
- Ride's own answer is inconsistent. The official product page titles it a men's binding and its Gender attribute says Men's, while the 26/27 order catalog lists it as Men's, Unisex and Women's. Ride's published size scale prints a US women's boot range of 7 to 11 against the M. So a rider with a women's boot in that range has a published size in this binding regardless of how the page is titled. Ask us if you want the fit checked against your actual boot.
