One Ball's 4WD Cold is a straightforward hydrocarbon hot wax made for cold, dry snow — 21°F down to 5°F (-5°C to -15°C). No fluoro, no additives. You iron it in, let the base cool, scrape, and brush. It works on skis and snowboards equally. The 165g bar lasts a full season of regular tuning if you're not going through it every week.
This is a solid everyday tuning wax at a price that makes sense to keep in your wax kit all season. If your conditions run colder than 5°F (-15°C), step up to the Ice Cold version. If you're mostly riding in the 28°F–21°F (-2°C to -6°C) range, the Cool temp is the better match — using Cold wax in warmer snow will slow you down noticeably.
