Flex
Nitro publishes no 1–5 flex — freestyle-tuned, PTO reads it mid (Response 8 on Nitro's own 1–10)
Flex ratings are the brand’s own and do not compare across brands.
Entry is traditional two-strap, not rear-entry or step-on. You seat the boot in the tray and ratchet the ankle and toe straps with Nitro's Speedwheel 3.0 buckles. For a freestyle binding that's the right call: the fine strap adjustment lets you set the exact hold you want before a jump session, and the cable-reinforced ratchets don't creep loose between laps.
Compatibility decides whether it even bolts to your board, so get it right. The Team Pro ships with Nitro's Universal Mini Disc, which mounts to 2x4 insert boards and to Burton Channel ("The Channel") boards. If your board is 4x4-only or you're unsure of its insert pattern, send us the board model and we'll confirm the disc fits before you order.
How it rides is set by the pro-grade straps and damping rather than a carve-specific chassis. The 3D OptiPro ankle strap and Übergrip Pro toe strap give a supportive, locked-in hold that stays precise through hard landings, backing the Response 8 rating without going stiff enough to fight you in the park. Under your feet, Air Dampening plus HYPER Foam absorb landing shock and chatter — where the Comfort 9 and the durability story meet, since it stays composed and keeps taking hits. The 3-degree canted footbed keeps your stance natural over long days. Compared with the Phantom+, the feel is more forgiving and freestyle-friendly and less about locking an edge at speed, which is the intended difference between a team freestyle binding and a freeride one.
Sizing goes by your boot, not your body weight. Nitro builds the Team Pro in S/M, Medium and Large, but PTO's 26/27 buy is Medium (US Men's 7.0–10.5 / 25.0–28.5 Mondopoint / EU 38.5–43.5) and Large (US Men's 11.0–14.0 / 29.0–32.0 Mondopoint / EU 44.0–48.0) — the S/M isn't in this order, so a boot under about US Men's 7 can't be fitted from our shelf. Match the binding to your snowboard boot's US or Mondopoint size — Medium tops out at US Men's 10.5 and Large starts at 11.0.
Will it fit your board?
The mounting disk fits 2x4, EST/Channel insert patterns.
Technology
Air Dampening + HYPER Foam
Nitro's damping stack: Air Dampening for cushioning and HYPER Foam for responsive damping. Together they absorb landing shock and chatter, which is the Comfort 9 side of Nitro's scorecard and the reason it stays composed lap after lap.
3° Canted Footbed
The footbed is angled 3 degrees so your feet sit in a slightly inward, natural stance rather than flat, which Nitro pitches as less strain over long days on the hill.
Cable-Reinforced Ratchets
The ratchet straps carry internal cable reinforcement so they resist stretching out over a long session, keeping the connection tight instead of creeping loose between laps.
Übergrip Pro Integral Toe Strap
An integral toe strap that wraps the toe box rather than sitting on top of it, for grip and hold across the front of the boot.
Features
- ·3D OptiPro ankle strap
- ·Speedwheel 3.0 buckle system
Strengths
- +Nitro rates the Team Pro's durability "unmatched" and builds it for repeated hard landings and professional, day-after-day wear.
- +Air Dampening plus HYPER Foam soak up landing shock and chatter — the Comfort 9 side of Nitro's own card.
- +Pro-grade 3D OptiPro ankle strap and Übergrip Pro integral toe strap give a supportive, locked-in hold that stays precise through hard landings.
- +Cable-reinforced ratchets and Speedwheel 3.0 buckles keep the straps tight without stretching out over a long park session.
- +The 3-degree canted footbed keeps your stance natural over long days.
- +Three colorways, including a Nitro x Marcus Kleveland edition.
Best For
Advanced and freestyle riders who spend real time in the park and on jumps and want pro-grade support and damping underfoot — riders who beat up their gear and need a binding built to survive professional, day-after-day wear.
Limitations
- −Freestyle tuning gives up carve-specific edge hold — for pure carving the Phantom+ is the pick, scoring Response 9 with a 4mm heel rise versus the Team Pro's 8.
- −No 4mm heel rise; that sits on the freeride Phantom+, not here.
- −Priced above the standard Nitro Team ($379.95 vs $359.95).
- −Not the widest tray for very wide boots.
- −PTO's buy is Medium and Large only — Nitro lists an S/M, but it isn't in this order, so a boot under about US Men's 7 can't be fitted from our shelf.
- −Nitro publishes no 1–5 flex and no 3-axis terrain score for this binding, and we have not found an independent on-snow test of the 26/27 — the flex and terrain reads here are ours.
Not For
Dedicated carvers who want maximum edge response and a heel rise (that is the freeride Phantom+, Response 9 with a 4mm rise), beginners after a soft, low-cost first binding, riders who need the widest tray for a very wide boot, anyone shopping strictly on price, and smaller-booted riders — PTO's buy is Medium and Large only, so Nitro's S/M isn't on our shelf.
Sizing
Binding size follows your boot, not your weight or your height.

Common Questions
- Is the Team Pro good for park and freestyle?
- Yes, that's its focus. Nitro pitches it as its most durable binding and a top choice among its team riders, with a supportive 3D OptiPro ankle strap and Air Dampening plus HYPER Foam tuned to take repeated hard landings and stay precise, rather than to lock a carve at speed.
- What boards is the Team Pro compatible with?
- It ships with Nitro's Universal Mini Disc, which mounts to 2x4 insert boards and Burton Channel ("The Channel") boards. If your board is 4x4-only or you're not sure of its insert pattern, send us the board model before buying and we'll confirm the disc fits.
- How do I choose the right size?
- Size by your snowboard boot, not your body weight. PTO's Team Pro comes in Medium (US Men's 7.0–10.5) and Large (US Men's 11.0–14.0); match the binding to your boot's US or Mondopoint size. Nitro also lists an S/M, but it isn't part of this order.
