The Nitro Fate BOA is a women's all-mountain snowboard boot that closes with two BOA dials instead of laces. One dial handles the lower foot and the other the upper shin, so each zone is fine-tuned on its own and adjusts with gloves on. A separate internal lacing system pulls the liner tight against the shell to keep the heel from lifting, while a reinforced heelcup and a snow gaiter lock the fit and keep weather out. The idea is a boot you can dial in once and keep dialed all day, rather than one that packs out loose after a couple of laps.
Underfoot, the boot rides on a Vibram outsole with a minimum 30% recycled rubber over a cushioned EVA midsole, with added sole insulation for cold days. The moldable Cloud 9 liner and a dual-density Ortholite footbed give it a supportive, hold-you-in feel rather than a loose, soft one, and the liner shapes to your foot with heat and packs out to your heel over time. That makes the Fate a match for intermediate and advanced riders who want response and support all over the hill. Riders who prefer a softer, press-friendly boot, or a traditional lace closure, will be happier on a different model.
PTO stocks the Fate BOA in US women's 6 to 11.5. Because Nitro does not list a last-width, fit is best confirmed in person, so we heat-mold the liner and shell-fit the boot to your foot. If you want a softer, more forgiving flex with extra board feel, look at its Crown BOA sibling instead.
