The Nitro Crown BOA is a women's all-mountain snowboard boot that leads with comfort and quick, precise fit instead of raw stiffness. Nitro puts it at a medium flex and closes it with a two-zone BOA over its heat-moldable Cloud 6 liner.
Who it suits: a rider, anywhere from her first season to advanced, who wants one boot that handles groomers, park and the whole hill in comfort. The draw is the fit. The Cloud 6 shapes to the foot under heat and comes worked in enough to ride out of the box, and Nitro shapes the boot on a women's-specific last rather than a downsized unisex one. The two dials tighten the lower and the upper separately and nudge either without stopping mid-run, while an Ortholite footbed and an internal liner lace round out the hold. The EVA sole is light, with part-recycled rubber traction panels behind a reinforced heelcup and a molded toe box.
Who should skip it: a hard-charging rider who wants a stiff, responsive boot for fast carving or wide-open lines — the Cloud 6 is the softer of Nitro's liners, and a firmer model does that job. If you would sooner pull one speed lace than work two dials, the Crown TLS is the same boot the other way. A men's foot, or a higher-volume one, wants a different last.
Sizing runs by Mondopoint, and Nitro's US women's labels differ across its own listings, so choose from the on-site size selector, not your street-shoe size. The boot ships bare — you ride it with your own bindings — and we heat-mold the liner and check your fit before you walk out.
