A VaporFit Snow dial tunes the fit 270 degrees with the turn of a dial, and a single Regulator slider opens and closes the 20 vents one-handed, so you can dump heat on the climb and close things down on a cold chair. AirEvac channels warm air out of the goggle interface to cut lens fogging with a Smith goggle, the Ionic+ lining is antimicrobial, and the Snapfit SL2 ear pads come out and take an audio chip. It stays Aleck compatible.
This is the lid for a skier who wants adjustable fit and venting in a women’s all-mountain helmet and who lands in the S–L range, 51 to 63cm. The Liberty tops out at size L, so a head measuring above 63cm will fit better in a helmet offered in a larger size — Smith’s men’s-fit Level is the Liberty’s counterpart in the line. Safety — read this
No helmet prevents all injury. The Liberty meets ASTM F2040 and EN 1077:2007 Class B; those certifications are separate from Koroyd and Mips, which are impact-management systems, not guarantees. Mips reduces rotational forces caused by angled impacts — it does not eliminate them. Replace any helmet after a significant impact even if it looks undamaged, and set the VaporFit dial snug and level before you ride.
