The take

This ski rips — it's playful enough to make tight SL turns and opens up to GS turns with ease.

The Laser WRT Pro is Stöckli's top-shelf carving ski, and it skis like it. Full camber, dual titanal sheets, Carbon Power Turn construction, race base — everything in this ski is built to hold an edge on hardpack and ice. SKI Magazine tested 12 carving skis and said the WRT Pro's performance on hard snow and at speed couldn't be topped. That tracks.

What surprised testers was the playfulness. For a race-bred ski with this much metal, the WRT Pro transitions edge to edge faster than you'd expect. You can rip tight slalom turns or open it up to GS arcs without the ski fighting you. The ride is smooth and quiet — no chatter, no vibration, just clean energy transfer through the turn.

The catch is forgiveness. This is an expert ski, full stop. It demands precise technique and punishes backseat skiing. If you're not driving the front of the ski, it lets you know. Floatation is minimal at 67mm underfoot — this is a groomer tool, not an all-mountain ski.

Compared to the standard Laser WRT, the Pro swaps Carbon Steering Control for Titanal Technology Pro and upgrades to a race base. The result is more power and stability at the limit, but less accessibility. The WRT is the better choice for advanced skiers still building confidence; the Pro is for skiers who already have it.
