Description
K2's All-Mountain Workhorse — BOA Closure, Medium-Stiff Flex, Available in Wide
The K2 Maysis is a perennial bestseller for a reason: flex 7 out of 10, full BOA closure on the outer shell, Conda BOA on the liner, heat-moldable Intuition foam, and Harshmellow dampening. It does a lot of things well without being a specialist in any single category. All-mountain, park laps, groomers, powder days — the Maysis handles the rotation.
What's Inside
- BOA H4 Coiler (outer closure) — cable-and-reel system with TX3 textile lacing. TX3 is BOA's first textile lace for snowboarding — made from recycled PET with a structural core. It flexes more naturally than steel cable while still delivering consistent, even closure. Single dial on top.
- Conda liner lacing with BOA dial — same system as the Overdraft: a urethane harness wraps your ankle and locks your heel into the pocket. Adjustable from outside the boot, gloves on.
- Intuition Control Foam 3D liner — high and medium-density Intuition foam blend. Heat-moldable — a shop can oven-mold it to your exact foot shape for a true custom fit. Internal and external J-bars for ankle hold.
- Endo 3.0 construction — an injected heel counter that lets K2 tune the flex, response, and rebound of the boot without adding extra material. You get a more responsive heel zone with less bulk.
- Harshmellow Plus footbed + midsole — K2's dampening material in both the insole and the midsole. Reduces vibration and impact fatigue. The "Plus" version in the Maysis is a step up from the standard Harshmellow in the Overdraft.
- This Grips! premium rubber outsole — dual-compound rubber with reinforced placement at high-wear zones.
Standard vs. Wide
PTO stocks both the standard and Wide versions. The Wide version is 7mm wider in both the liner and shell. If your toes touch the sides in a standard boot or you've always sized up to get width, try the Wide first — you may be able to go down a size and get a better heel fit.
Who It's For
Intermediate to advanced riders who want one boot that covers everything. The flex 7 is stiff enough for all-mountain riding and moderate carving, but still has enough give for park features and switch riding. Pairs well with medium to stiff boards (5–8 flex range).
Worth Knowing
Flex 7 is genuinely medium-stiff. If you're a lighter rider (under 140 lbs) or mostly ride park, the Overdraft (flex 5) or Raider will feel more natural. The BOA H4 system is convenient but if a cable breaks mid-day, you're done until you can get a replacement — carry a spare if you're on a backcountry trip. The heat-moldable Intuition liner is a real advantage; take the time to get it molded at a shop for the best fit.
